Has there been any games today with the cup tomorrow?

Yes league games today.

Rawtenstall got beat by East Lancs having been 10 for 5 at one point.

Lowerhouse got beat in a close one and Burnley look to have won a close one. Getting Hassy pro with 15 needed off 2.

Watched the T20 last night and Clitheroe look strong, I don’t think Lowerhouse are far off them but I’d say the league table probably reflects well at the minute.

I’d take the two defeats for a win tomorrow, which I think they will get

How did they go?

Think, Darwen beat Burnley and Lowerhouse lost to Clitheroe, quite convincingly in the end

Try social media for updates. It’s easy enough and some clubs even do over by over.

On the Lancashire League website there are live score updates of most matches, including 2nd and 3rd XI.

They all seem to be hoping that i keep doing them...seeing as i go to the games. I was doing at the start of the season but seeing as it was like talking to myself I have stopped bothering...and like you say the scores can be found quite easily elsewhere.

It's not my fault there is no Burnley "correspondent" on here since the demise of LC. Perhaps if Burnley had more going to their games they might find it easier. :D

As for so far this weekend...Dreadful fielding cost House in the T20. Today it was nip and tuck all the way but when Clitheroe needed 19 off 12 with only 2 wickets left House were in control. Chucked it away. Thats on the wrong side of two tight games in 2 weeks. On the plus side..we are doing really well for bonus points this season :)

You might be right Fishy, but I actually think it’s a lot sadder than that.

I think it’s more of a case that certain posters support teams that now languish in the bottom division and don’t win many and so they have to take pleasure in other teams losing.

I know it’s all a bit pathetic but I say live and let live and if it makes a person with nothing much else to smile about smile, then so be it.

That certainly seems to be the case but you also have so called Burnley supporters asking for updates. Do they not only not go to their clubs games but also have no real desire to search out the results through club channels? Instead they rely on House supporters for any sort of update and when this isn't forthcoming they then equate it to when House have lost.

When I was doing my regular updates from games I did them from the start of the game...clearly not knowing the outcome..so I did it win or lose. Yet when I stop it is because we lost. Hopey gets the same.

Burnley CC fans are an enigma. All up for banter and rivalry but hardly any actually go to their games. There will be more down at the House next week than they get at their home games. Odd bunch.

Nice to see young Henri Cottam open the batting and get some runs. Personally I thought it was asking too much of him to fill this problem position for the House but he did a great job. UTH

Has it occurred to you that many on this site do not live in Rosegrove or Burnley or even the UK. As far as I know this does not prohibit them to ‘follow’ or be interested in Lancs League cricket. Yes we could visit the Lancs league website but that just gives us the bare scores. It is far more interesting to get updates and gossip from spectators at the actual games
So sorry if you feel you are being used and abused but it is your choice if you want to post updates or not. You can always take your bat home !

All very fine but i had chosen to take my bat home thank you Not through abuse but through seeming lack of interest. Doesn't seem like I'm allowed to do that without accusations being thrown that it's because House have lost a few games. It's quite pathetic.

You should spot a wind up merchant within 2 posts.

Some like a bit of banter which is great. I like a bit but don't get much back being a Padiham supporter.

Great knock by Ben by the way.
Not the best to have 3 games against the same team though in a weekend.

No issues with banter. Had plenty with LC..all good natured. Banter is difficult when the comments are snidey. That to me is **** banter. The amusing thing is he is exactly what he accuses others of.

Fantastic knock. Nice to see him go on to get his century after so many times getting 50 and then out.
Nice not to be whitewashed by them to be honest. Poor performance in the T20 in the field and yesterday they managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Great win for the House. Great knock from Ben and some very tidy bowling from Paddy. One of the Clitheroe players ,sat outside the changing rooms, lost with rag with the House fans which led to some shouting and a lot of finger pointing. Great day with Strongbow at £2 for a pint can.

Just to fan the flames (so to speak!) down at Chatburn Rd Clitheroe seconds were chasing a big score against, 'Arrod 2s in the 2XI cup quarter finals when the Clitheroe skipper, who I'm respectfully suggesting is late 50s, began struggling with injury/illness. He was batting well tbf and in the spirit of the game a runner was allowed to come out. Clitheroe with 8 wickets down had plenty of options, but chose to send out a 19 year old Lancs representative player who proceeded to do several impressions of Usain Bolt turning dodgy 1s into fast run 2s. Clearly not in the spirit of the game (imo). Anyway, 'Arrod won so no bother. ☺

I can’t comment on that…..Lowerhouse sent Shawn Flegker the pro out as a runner for Matt Hope on at least one occasion.
