Knight mare scenario
Rovers win their next 2, Coventry and Huddersfield, and are top going into the derby only needing a draw to stay top during the world cup. Can you just imagine the gloating at full time.

Re: Knight mare scenario
I audtioned to be on knightmare back in the day. We got down to the final 12 groups but weren't picked because there were already too many all boy groups. I did get a load of knightmare branded swag though which made the long trip to East Anglia worth it.

Not sure why, but I used to watch that show and as I got older, looking back I kept thinking it had been hosted by Brian Blessed!claretabroad wrote: ↑Mon Oct 31, 2022 9:30 amI audtioned to be on knightmare back in the day. Re: Knight mare scenario
It’ll be annoying but hardly a disaster. We’re still going to be there or thereabouts at the break and while the numb nuts down the road might have bragging rights for a few weeks, it’s a marathon not a sprint at the end of the day.
Oh and Knightmare was ace.

What if we win our next two games?
Re: Knight mare scenario
No room for that kind of attitude on here.

Re: Knight mare scenario
Rovers have won 4 on the bounce now, and as they don't do draws surely they're due for a defeat or two soon.
Never watched Knightmare was that sort of like a Crystal Maze for kids?

Re: Knight mare scenario
Rovers have had a very generous run of fixtures, with their last 8 opponents all being in the bottom half at the point they played them. Their next two games are also against struggling sides.
It’s a mixed bag for them in December and January, but once they hit Feb it’s a real tough few months based on the current standings.

Re: Knight mare scenario
I think we'd all have settled to be there or thereabouts coming up to the World Cup break
Supremely untroubled by the possibility of a couple of defeats as we are far ahead of where anyone expected us to be

Re: Knight mare scenario
I want us to reach the World Cup break [what a drag that is] without any more defeats. We will be ahead of Blackburn. I'd love us to win it, Blackburn come second and Preston to go up in the playoffs.

Re: Knight mare scenario
Plenty of bastards in my neck of the woods
If we are there or thereabouts if they beat us, then its still going to hurt a lot, but our overall position after relegation is far ahead of where any of us realistically expected

Re: Knight mare scenario
It’s all very academic really. As my son in law Rover said recently ‘we are doing okay just now but then it will all fall apart after Christmas like it always does’.
Please note he’s not called Rover. Before any wags on here jump on it.
Wags. Geddit.
Ah well.

Re: Knight mare scenario
That's certainly true for the doom and gloom merchants who prophesied our immediate relegation to D1, but what about those who 'told us all along' that we'd go straight back up to the Premiership as Champions/unbeaten/with a 100+ points?Lancasterclaret wrote: ↑Mon Oct 31, 2022 11:28 am....our overall position after relegation is far ahead of where any of us realistically expected
More importantly, what about those who originally prophesied our relegation, but don't now remember doing so as they actually knew all along that we'd be Champions; unless of course we draw or god forbid, even lose the next game, whereafter they'll swiftly draw our attentions back to the relegation that they warned us about to begin with... at least until we've won the next game after that.

Re: Knight mare scenario
Yeah he’s really good but unlike most Rovers he’s scared of horses.
Not convinced about him knawing bones at the table though.

Re: Knight mare scenario
I always said we'd go straight up as Champions and our current form picking up results against difficult opposition won't change.
Re: Knight mare scenario
I certainly was expecting top 4 as an absolute minimum right from the start. Never in the mid-table bunch.Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Mon Oct 31, 2022 8:29 pmI always said we'd go straight up as Champions and our current form picking up results against difficult opposition won't change.
Many fans realistically expected us to be near the top.
