RIP Irene Cara. You couldn’t live through the early eighties without knowing her

She didn’t live forever, hope she’s learning how to fly.

Absolutely loved that show………one night I was the Imperial Hotel in Blackpool delivering some laundry and there was the cast off the TV show who we’re doing a stage version of the show………one of those moments where as a kid I just stared!

A feel good show if ever there was one.

RIP

A similar thing happened to me, I was staying in a hotel in Nottingham and they were appearing at the local theatre and also staying at the hotel, whilst at the bar they loved my English accent and were buying me Strawberry Dakari’s all evening (I would have preferred beer but they insisted, as as they were buying)

I was getting on with one of them like a house on fire, but as the evening came to a close a chaperone stepped in to make sure they all behaved.

Great memories of the eighties with Fame and Flash dance.

Sad news at only 63.

RIP Irene
