Winter Photos
Winter Photos
Never quite sure when Winter begins these days. When I was at school it was the Winter solstice, 21 December this year, but nowadays the meteorological season, beginning 1 December, seems to have taken over. Whatever, I haven't seen a thread on this yet so here is my photo of the first snowfall in the Scottish Borders.
Took this after our win today and now raising a glass of fizz.to Spades. UTC

Needed to avoid emotional dysregulation, which I'd get from time to time on here, due to difference of opinion - I think the last one was about resizing photos. Anyway since then have had a diagnosis of Autism (level 1) since this year ASD is in three levels with level 3 needing most support. So I just stick to pleasant things like bombarding you with photos. All the best...

Yes but I can't see Snowdon (it's no longer it's official name of course) from the end of my drive as Mynydd Mawr is in the way. I have to walk half a mile to see Snowdon.Lancasterclaret wrote: ↑Wed Dec 14, 2022 9:22 amI have a nice view from mine, but that s**ts all over that

Have you never heard of ‘snow golf’ Bosscat? The balls have GPS trackers built in, the drawback is they are very expensive!

Re: Winter Photos
Whilst Yr Wyddfa will be the only name used and Eryri instead of Snowdonia in both English and Welsh literature and Website run by The National Park - apparently Yr Wyddfa/Snowdon Eryri/Snowdonia will still have to be used in legal documents.
I expect signage to be changed soon - although looking yesterday one sign on entering the Park still has Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri and Snowdonia National Park on it.
We still call the dishes Peking Duck and Bombay Potatoes. Although if the duck is Peking I don't want to eat it. Mumbai potatoes has a nicer sound though.
