Twine very lively
Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
Benson has been excellent, when was the last time we had a player like him? Ten, fifteen years?

Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
I haven't got a stream, but the stats suggest we are trying to walk the ball into the net, again, which isn't good. We need to get the ball and bodies into the box. Anyone confirm?

We're all over these. It's coming.

Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
Half time summary… playing well in spite of there being seven different players since the last start. Benson and Twine lively, Foster needs to get more involved. Churlinov needs to show, but otherwise it’s a matter of time before we score

Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
Twine has also done well defensively
Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
Cullen, Roberts, Twine, Benson playing well, all playing with a bit of confidence/swag.
JBG, Al Dakhil and Bayer solid.
Taylor proving why we need to sign Maatsen.
Churlinov… not for me.
Foster looking lively but commits a few fouls.

Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
Good half just missing the final action. Best we’ve seen of Twine who looks sharp while Roberts and Benson also looking lively. Churlinov looks very rusty (understandably).

Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
Decent enough 45 considering all the changes, and surely we'll bag eventually if we keep this pressure up 2nd half.
Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
Taylor hasn't had a bad half has he?
Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
Playing pretty much a back three which has seemingly turned Roberts into Pirlo!
Look a lot more threatening from our right and just need a killer final ball.
Very comfortable.

Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
Twine looked good so far , held off some strong challenges , linked play up well. Al dakhil is going to be some player.. churlinov just needs to give a bit more , but not done anything wrong. Also think Foster has been lively, plenty of possession jus need to get a goal.
Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
I still have no idea what Foster brings to the team. Looks physically strong but just seams to disappear
Twine has had some lovely touches and looks vey sharp.

Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
Have we ever had a ref blow for a foul against us on 3 corners in a row
Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
Something strange with Churlinov ,pictures of him in training ,always looks to have a smile on his face ,and seems to get on great with all the squad, but he gets on the pitch ,and nothing seems to happen, can’t get rid of the ball fast enough, hope it comes good for him.
Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
Even my forty years of Rothman’s books wouldn’t give that answer!!123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Sat Apr 15, 2023 3:53 pmHave we ever had a ref blow for a foul against us on 3 corners in a row

Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
It’s difficult because on one side you can say there’s a reason why a few of these players are only squad players, but also unless you get a run in the team you can’t build momentum

We’re off
Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
He's moved the ball a lot faster than normal and played some decent passes today. Think it's harsh to single him out.

Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
He’s been ok, a passage of play where he couldn’t open his hips up and play a simple right footed pass inside and instead started heading towards our own goal to create an angle to pass left footed sticks out like a sore thumb like

We’re all entitled to an opinion, and I don’t feel he’s as important to us as Maatsen is in this system. That’s all.
Won’t help that he doesn’t have Zaroury/Tella in front of him.

Honestly think that was just a foul on Foster.
Therefore a pen.

Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
1st corner of game for them
Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
I don't disagree with that, but your post was that Taylor was proving why we need to sign Maatsen with his performance in the first half- which I don't agree with.

Re: Reading v Clarets Match Thread
Benson has murdered their left back twice but seems not to want to keep beating him and passing inside instead.
Twine with the most ridiculous free kick as the man megs him then runs into him...fk now a corner.
