Cancelling Clarets+ Subscription
I’m trying to cancel my Clarets+ subscription (due to auto-renew in August), as I presume there will be no more live streams of matches now we’re back in the PL.
According to the T&C “You may cancel your subscription at any time using the 'My Account' site function.” However, I can’t see this functionality after logging in to the BFC website and going to ‘Clarets+’ then ‘My Account’.
I emailed website@burnleyfc.com about 2 weeks ago, but no reply.
Anyone else managed to cancel their subscription?

Thanks Bosscat. I did find that page, but there is no way to cancel a subscription. The only thing I can do is update my billing details

Can you not just remove your bank details then they can’t take it out your account?ClaretGent wrote: ↑Tue Jun 13, 2023 7:30 amThanks Bosscat. I did find that page, but there is no way to cancel a subscription. The only thing I can do is update my billing details

If the club insist on employing 12 year olds to create web pages the least they should do is get an adult to proof read and check the grammar before going live.

I had exactly the same issue. In the end I just cancelled the direct debit payment with my bank so the money wouldn't come out. The website is truly terrible.

Re: Cancelling Clarets+ Subscription
Managed to cancel my Clarets+ subscription yesterday.
Clicked on the Active Subscriptions option, and cancelled. A box appears asking you to say why your cancelling too.
But its not, never has been, an easy site to navigate, which is a shame.

Glad you're sorted Bc ... its a nightmare at times trying to sort stuff on the BFC websiteBuxtonclaret wrote: ↑Tue Jun 13, 2023 8:25 amManaged to cancel my Clarets+ subscription yesterday.

Thanks for the suggestion. It's not possible to remove my bank details. I tried updating them with a random credit card number, but that doesn't work eitherStayingDown4Ever wrote: ↑Tue Jun 13, 2023 8:07 amCan you not just remove your bank details then they can’t take it out your account?

Mine's linked to my credit card, so unfortunately I don't have the option to cancel the direct debit paymentwelsbyswife wrote: ↑Tue Jun 13, 2023 8:16 amI had exactly the same issue. Re: Cancelling Clarets+ Subscription
What kind of subscription did you have Buxton? I don’t get any options to cancel under the active subscriptions.Buxtonclaret wrote: ↑Tue Jun 13, 2023 8:25 amManaged to cancel my Clarets+ subscription yesterday.

Maybe the season pass doesn’t automatically renew (which would make sense), even though the T&Cs say “Your subscription will be automatically renewed without notice at the end of the Service Period…unless you have cancelled the service in the meantime.”
Either way, this is amateur from BFC

It was the audio pass one? I actually didn't really use it much, as we were on TV a lot and, steeams were easy to get. The £44 or so quid one?ClaretGent wrote: ↑Tue Jun 13, 2023 9:38 amWhat kind of subscription did you have Buxton? I don’t get any options to cancel under the active subscriptions.

Can't understand why it doesn't give you the option. Have you phoned them? You'll probably get more joy doing that than working out the web site.
I only remembered l was cancelling my own, after seeing your OP.
Just checked & I've no 'Active' subs now to go with the confirmation email.
Personally think the whole BFC site needs a complete overhaul to make it more user friendly. Don't think I'm alone either!
Good luck, CG

A good reminder for me to cancel sky sports and BT sports for the summer.

I don’t have BT Sport any longer but I’ll be making full use of Sky Sports from this Friday for the Ashes.Burnleyareback2 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 13, 2023 10:30 amA good reminder for me to cancel sky sports and BT sports for the summer.

Re: Cancelling Clarets+ Subscription
Managed to speak to someone at the club, who cancelled my subscription.
Also noticed that there are no longer any paid subscriptions available for Clarets+, only the free account. So chances are that if you still have an active paid subscription, it won’t auto renew next season anyway
