Think the links only work if you are signed in, problem being if you are signed in you can see what is on twitter

Twitter links have stopped working for me as well. Not just on here, if someone sends a link via iMessage I can’t open it.
I found the same all of a sudden. I tried to use the links on the Russia thread earlier and got nowt! Might give Mr Musk a bell and find out what's going on, but suspect I won't get much sense out of that loon!

Well I am.signed up on Twitter and since the weekend none of the links posted on here will open up for me. Okay!
It's because Elon imposed a temporary lockdown on anonymous logins to twitter due to a high number of scrapers.

It will work if you login to twitter on whatever app you open the link in (e.g. Chrome).

£19 million for a keeper who's never played above League 1 !! Accy Stanley and Bolton is not the best way to introduce a keeper to the EPL.
VK must be starting him as no.1 cos it would be ridiculous to spend £19m just to put him on the bench.
This deal must have stretched AP and the boards faith in VK to it's limits!

Think we need to start quoting the £14m. That’s what we’ve agreed to pay.

I’d assume the additional £5m will only be paid in scenarios where he’s been very successful - England caps, us reaching Europe, etc - in which case his value will have risen significantly and we’ll be happy to pay.

If we've payed £19m for him, it will be excellent business. Especially given that a good slice of his add on's will no doubt be for PL survival.

The fee would I assume be spread out over the length of contract too, so you'd imagine he'll be signing a 4/5 year contract given his age...

To be fair you could say that about young players in any position. There are no guarantees.

But if we’re paying that sort of money VK and his team obviously see something special.

Just thought I’d throw it out there that talksport said that Trafford had a similar style and personality to Ramsdale.

Interestingly Trafford did a segment in the telegraph in the other week where he said wherever he goes he wants to be starting.

Sounds like he’s going to be our new number 1

Trafford as numero uno.
Lad from the Orient number two.
Frank's lad as 3rd keeper.

Wouldn't surprise me if Muric moves. Plenty of people on here questioned whether Muric would be solid enough to step-up to the PL, whilst also recognising his improvement in the second half of the season. There were others who couldn't understand why people were questioning his PL pedigree. Whatever happens with Muric it's clear that VK isn't confident enough with Muric as number one for next season.

Will be very disappointed if these rumours turn out to be correct.

Muric would be my #1 (at least at the start of the season) even with Traffords signing.

Big waste of talent and potential for a large fee if we let him go to Turkey.

I agree, he was a decent enough keeper for the championship but I think most including VK recognised that he was our weak link in defence

My take is that Muric has either asked for a transfer or VK decided he would move him on. This would fit in with the rush to secure a new number 1. The lad from Orient cones with rave reviews, so looking like the new number 2.
Muric in the main was great last season, but made mistakes which will be punished in the Premier League.
The in-game substitutions like Watford could also be telling. Whatever the reason, it now looks nailed on Trafford is our future. So in VK we trust.

I've just watched the full highlights on Trafford for last season and in all of his games he caught the ball x3 in total, he punched away or parried away every single time and that will be punished in the Premier league

Muric had a loan in Turkey 2 years ago and with his heritage it may be somewhere he wants to live, who knows?

I’d have still expected him to fight for a number 1 spot at a EPL side like us so that suggests either he isn’t the kind of guy to have that fight in him (he does look a bit laid back at times) or VK doesn’t feel he is good enough.

Of the three possibilities I am inclined to go with the last one, VK is as ruthless as it gets and probably believes it comes with the territory.

I've just watched the full highlights on Trafford for last season and in all of his games he caught the ball x3 in total, he punched away or parried away every single time and that will be punished in the Premier league
A goalkeeper that only caught the ball 3 times? Turn it in.

I reckon the thing that applied to us last season is the still the same this season, in that any weakness in a player is priced in, and we're making a calculation that the weaknesses are worth it for their strengths. This was something that applied to Muric, especially at the start of last season, and it's the same now, because we're Burnley and we aren't capable of buying complete players. We might get a world class shot stopper (like Pope), someone with amazing composure and control of their area (like Heaton), or someone with genuinely world class distribution (Muric), but the players that have all Pope's reflexes, Heaton's composure and calmness, and Muric's distribution end up playing for Real Madrid.
