Medical done according to Fabrizio Romano:
No doubt CT's article is ready, just waiting on the official announcement and video.

Today will be forever known as whack em out Wednesday, as Burnley throw 3 separate player reveals out, after weeks of starving their adoring public.

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
I know I've read on a few Coventry fan site's that they value McNally at around 3m bearing in mind if he continues to improve he'll be worth 20 or 30m within 2 season'sjurek wrote: ↑Tue Jul 18, 2023 10:53 pmMcNally has the potential to be a 10-15m+ pound player if he progresses
over the next two seasons and I suspect VK may well feel that is the case
and I suspect Coventry may well feel the same.
So 5m for him now seems pretty low to me.
Whereas Coventry wanting 15m for Hamer seems excessive to me
especially if he can go for a free next season.
But I can't blame Coventry for holding out for as much as they can get.
I suspect we'd do the same in their position.
Be interesting to see if we go back with a better offer?
Anyone know what's happened to the Arsenal midfielder
(Lokonga, is it?). We seem to have been linked with him for weeks.
Possible loan to buy?
They want a minimum of 15m for a player that if not sold in the next few weeks can sign a pre contract in January and walk for free at the end of this season
I read on one of their forum's one Coventry fan said they'd take Twine McNally and Peacock-Farrell for him, bloody strange lot those Coventry fan's, also one said they should offer him 25k a week and that would blow us out of the water

If they do have 3 to go at I’d not be surprised to see them speed over 3 days.
They’ll do whatever social media experts suggest will give the biggest level of exposure. That could be all 3 in quick succession. I don’t know.

Trafford today as well
Buy back clause for City is triple what we paid apparently

Flurry in - Flurry out?
Outgoings soon?
BPF to Wednesday?
Chas to Leeds?
Bobby Thomas to Coventry?
Luke McNally to Millwall?
Wout to Besiktas?
These are the likely ones. How much do you think that will fetch in realistically (not Coventristically.)
Any others that we think might happen in an outward direction?

We certainly need to trim the squad a bit , I would imagine Bastien and Cherlenov as well when fit will be sold.Guller Bull wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 8:41 amFlurry in - Flurry out?

Wouldn't be to shocked to see Twine go to the championship on loan either depending on who we bring in

Perhaps we should recall McNally and sell him elsewhereAmpth7 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 18, 2023 5:19 pmPlayer swap deals seem to be few and far between nowadays. Ultimately, it’s for us to make them an offer and for the selling club to make a decision one way or t’other.
As per normal, what the player wants will have an impact on things, especially when he can walk away for free in less than 12 months time!
Only question now is do we go back in with another offer; say £11 million plus McNally? I reckon that might do it?!

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Would that be a bad deal for us? BPF isn't going to play and McNally / Twine didn't pull up any trees last season for us. They're both promising players but nothing more at this time. They are a deluded fanbase though. However, Hamer is worth a lot to them. Similar to Diaz at Deadwood last season. Hamer is key to any success Coventry have this season. They have to weigh up whether £10m plus McNally is worth it versus going all out for promotion with Hamer in the team.mybloodisclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 8:52 amCov fans are amongst the most deluded online bunch I have seen. Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Athletic update just now re. Maatsen - we are still front runners, though it’s suggested any deal will likely be a season long loan with the £20m ask price deemed too high.

What do you value Benson at? Then 8 million + the other players you mention.

Twine needs to stay here, his potential is massive. I don't think he'll play more than 15 games this season, but he'll learn more in 15 games in the Prem, than a season in the Championship.

Me too. Can’t believe that we will though. I really think he is one of our players who will really shine in the premier league. From the bits we have seen of him his eye for a disguised pass and angles looks superb. I feel that he will benefit from less of the rough and tumble of the championship

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
A year loan for Maatsen sounds a good idea all round to me. Chelsea want too much for him and it enables us to test if he can handle the premier league.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
He won't be going as it stands I think it depends who we bring in, if we bring players in who go ahead of him in the pecking order then I'd imagine a loan would be on the cards to help him progress.
His goals from free kicks only happen if he's on the pitch

Depends really it wasn't a injury it was an illness so not like there's chance of a recurring injury plus he was linked with his previous club so they'll know what he's capable of

The way the rumours are going in terms of incomings, I would be amazed if Twine is still here come the end of the window.
With the signing of Amdouni, links to Lokonga, Flemming, Vrankx,
Then the likes of Gudmundsson and Brownhill still in the squad. I just can’t see where Twine fits at all.
CDM - Cork, Cullen, Lokonga, Vrankx, (potentially Brownhill).
CAM - Amdouni, Gudmundsson, Brownhill, Flemming
Where do you see him playing if he stays?

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
I’m thinking Amdouni will play as the deep lying striker tbh, although it does sound like he’s versatile. Not sure we sign all of Lokonga, Vranckx and Flemming. Think 2 more midfield profiles max. Can’t see Cork being overly involved if at all this season. So with all that, Twine will still be in and around the first team I reckon.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 10:31 amThe way the rumours are going in terms of incomings, I would be amazed if Twine is still here come the end of the window.

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Twine is a fantastic sub to bring on when chasing a win (or a point). Fling him on for the last 15 and take a few cheaper falls anywhere just outside the box and it’s a goal 1 in 3? You cannot put a price on that ability and it’s transferable to any league. He would be on my 9 man bench every game next season, no doubt at all.
