To be fair, Andy Jones does say Lokonga isn't seen as a priority - not that CM isn't seen as a priority.

Yes, he's as relevant as "ITK's" on this board.agreenwood wrote: ↑Mon Jul 31, 2023 4:25 pmWhilst I think he might be right, Will Lancaster is not a source of anything. A journalist who only posts about Burnley rumours? Aye, alright.

Some of that contradicts what respected journos were reporting yesterday. Quite a few Arsenal beat writers have reported Lokonga deal close this afternoon.

I do wonder if with all the 'wingers' we signed are allegedly chasing there's an intention to utilise some in midfield; they'll certainly be pacey.AGENT_CLARET wrote: ↑Mon Jul 31, 2023 5:24 pmOnce Tella signs Zaroury will be moved into the middle
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
They just need them to substitute Benny and Zaroury without quality loss. What if they are unavailable for some reason... In the Premier League you need more squad depth especially on the wings. On top of that Benson and Zaroury aren't exactly physical phenomena that are able to give the same performance for 90 minutes every week or twice a week. Need some rotation and Zaroury can be out for international duty too with Africa cup and what not.

We appear to be collecting players again. This time for decent money. Where is the money coming from?
No outgoings, as yet nor any publicity about outgoing players.

JJ was brought in to bring others in to invest, we have no idea if that has been successful and it's not likely something they would announce.

There are still rumours that a dal for Tresor may still be on the cards and talks are ongoing. If Maatsen is a no-go then are we going to rely on Taylor and Vitinho or is a deal on anywhere for LB's ?
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
I’d be amazed if we don’t bring in a left back and a central midfielder.LaLigaClaret wrote: ↑Mon Jul 31, 2023 8:32 pmThere are still rumours that a dal for Tresor may still be on the cards and talks are ongoing. Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
I can't imagine that Kompany would rely on Vitinho and Taylor who are bench players at best. His system really thrives with fullbacks good on the ball like a Gomez or Maatsen. That Galatasaray right back looks crisp though. Hope they can go for a player like him.LaLigaClaret wrote: ↑Mon Jul 31, 2023 8:32 pmThere are still rumours that a dal for Tresor may still be on the cards and talks are ongoing.
