strikers are always worth more than midfieldersNewcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 08, 2023 7:32 pmHuh?
Tella is worth more, how is that even debatable.
I said it earlier but players are only worth what someone is willing to pay. No one is paying remotely close to what Tella would take.

And by the way We quoted West Ham £20 mill for Brownhill last summer. They didn’t pay it just like no one is paying £20 mill for Tella

Any English strikers gone for more?
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Get what you’re saying but some on here just want to get at him. As for the 21/22 season, most of our players were abysmal unfortunately. I’m trying to forget that season.DCWat wrote: ↑Tue Aug 08, 2023 6:44 pmCould it be that he’s a saleable asset with a dwindling contract? Alternatively, perhaps his performances in our last season in the Premier League are being considered.
Having a view that isn’t towing the party line doesn’t mean that a player is being targeted.
It’s a big season for Brownhill, if he stays. It’ll be interesting to compare and contrast this season to 21/22.

Tella not in the starting 11 or on the bench tonight.

Whilst I fully enjoyed watching Tella play/score all those goals and put in fantastic performances, I really don’t think Tella would cut it in the premier league. Hence why Arsenal let him go,Southampton let him go on loan last season & no other team are in for him! Only my opinion of course!

mate come on, if he was 26 with 4 years left on his deal Kane would be going for 150 million minimum. That's what they asked for a few years ago and City went for him. Mbappe would go for 200+. Top level strikers always go for more

Maybe. They already have 2 forwards that both scored more goals at that level the last time the played there.Jakubclaret wrote: ↑Tue Aug 08, 2023 8:35 pm& that will please Southampton to the ground the price set was to deter potential suitors, you can't really blame them for wanting to keep hold of him after what he did last season in exactly the same division.

Discounting PSG’s dick swinging when they bought Mbappe and Neymar ‘because they could’ 5 (or 6 depending whether you think Joao Felix is a midfielder) of the most expensive transfers ever have been central Midfielders.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Tue Aug 08, 2023 8:37 pmmate come on, if he was 26 with 4 years left on his deal Kane would be going for 150 million minimum. It’s also fair to say that Brownhill has earned another crack at the Premier League and assume he wouldn’t want to drop back down a division, though.

As long as he's not allowed to take corners he's a brilliant player for us.PensansClaret wrote: ↑Tue Aug 08, 2023 6:34 pmWhy all the negative comments on Brownhill ? He's been great for us and hopefully in the future.

At the start of last season Brownhill seemed genuinely positive about playing for us in the EFL. So Yes he deserves another crack at the Premier League with us.

There is something about Daramy that I just can’t get excited about. I think it might be because he wasn’t good enough to break into Ajax’s first team squad and had to go back to Copenhagen on loan.colne-claret wrote: ↑Tue Aug 08, 2023 9:28 pmPerhaps the Hertha lad (can’t remember how to spell his name ) is instead of Daramy.
Never heard of the lad from Hertha but his YouTube clips look impressive.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
We're consistently linked with some absolutely extraordinary players. Not even by little Burnley standards, these are top quality players wanted all over Europe. It's surreal. And we even sign some of them!
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
What is it with fans getting excited about YouTube clips when they watch the players?
They only ever show the best bits, never showing the times a player struggled to trap a bag of cement.
Even Weghorst looked fantastic in his video.

That'll be why Dyche rarely if ever signed players from Europe.
He was only interested in players whose first touch sent them into the stand.
