Watching Saints v Norwich. 3-3. Tella just looks unhappy. No celebration when Adam’s Barnes just scored but disallowed for offside. Close call
He'll be even more unhappy, its currently Southampton 3 - 4 Norwich

I've been watching Brighton v Luton, it's 4-1, could have been double that. Luton are just a set-piece team at this level

I've seen a lot of that game and I just can't see them picking up many points at all.

Don't think the Evertonians will put up with Dyche's brand of football for long.

It's a bit disappointing that a few of our rivals have picked up points so far. Could probs do with Liverpool vs Chelsea being a draw now.

In the Arsenal Forest game I thought bringing on Elanga and Awoniyi was very effective. I was mighty impresssed with Awoniyi last season - pacy, strong, an eye for goal. It seems he's had a recent injury so was only a sub. Elanga injected some strength and pace too leading to a quality goal.

I'll take those results thank you very much. Last thing we wanted was any of Everton, Forest, Luton, Sheffield Utd getting off to a flyer, and let's hope Wolves get a defeat too.

Again, you can see exactly what VK has been on about all preseason. PL sides are huge.

Absolutely. We'll be bigger than last season but last night it was noticeable just how many units City have. Neville said pre and post game that they were once not really associated with being good at set pieces but they have five or six players now who are giants. Same can be said of most if not all sides in the Prem.

I always remember the first game back to the Prem under SD when we played Chelsea and was amazed at how big their players were.

Definitely. It's one of the biggest things you notice when you're in the ground, just now massive they are. Even a player like Luke Shaw who isn't thought of as being tall... 6ft.

It blows away the fallacy that the Championship is more physical, it's not. You might get away with more fouls in the Championship but the PL is the land of the giants and 95% of the players are also technically good

There's no way Shaw is 6ft. I mean, I take your word for it, but like, I still don't believe it. Probably because he's almost as round as he is tall it makes him look short.

That's the enormous difference. In the Championship the big players don't tend to have as much skill as other players but in the Prem all the tall ones have an abundance of skill levels.

I know he looks a bit of a porker at times, but with sports science I can't imagine he's not got an optimal body mass index. The club wouldn't allow it.

Martinez should have had a red card - defo goal scoring opportunity if there is no goalie in the nets

Nah not in my opinion. Ball and player were very wide, miles from goal and with about three or four Villa defenders back. Cheeky from Martinez though.

I think you missed the tongue in cheek humour, the implication with the teams mentioned is for a top 4 spot.
