If you live in the States is the only way to order a Burnley top via the club website still? I'm presuming/guessing all the big Premier League teams have shirts available in stores over there
You can order direct from the Umbro website

Who will be next I'm going for ryan's world.
Half time entertainment will be him unboxing the new shirt next summer during our participation of the PL summer series.

Are owners not allowed to do low levels of paid sponsorship? Just thinking of Venky's down the road sponsoring the shirt sleeve to get their cash into the club.
Ask Man City’s owners their definition of “low levels of paid sponsorship”

With a half and half scarf whilst now being minority owners of the club?

To me it screams ‘yeah Burnley is a bit tinpot this is really what we want’

I don’t think JJ would do this.

If you asked a million Americans would you rather have a piece of Man Utd or Burnley, I reckon you would get a million saying Man Utd.

If you asked all our players would you rather play every week for Burnley or Man Utd they would pick Man Utd.

You are that insecure that due to some young lads coming to England they shouldn't go to watch Man Utd Wolves because they have declared an interest in Burnley ?

They’re minority owners now, a little bit more than ‘declared an interest’.

Would you be happy with them at Ewood with a half and half scarf with Ipswich town or some sh**?

I just think it’s strange and very plastic.

I would think the same as I think about half n half scarfs of any 2 teams including those where we are 1 of the teams, not for me.

Do you think we should only accept investment / publicity from a Burnley fan ? Isn't JJ Watt a Chelsea fan ?

Aye because that’s ‘absolutely everything’

I think you’ll find me early season last year whilst a lot of posters were losing their rag about our bedding in process I saw a lot of signs of encouragement and urged posters to be patient because it was coming - same with Foster.

There’s loads of things I could point to.

I also wasn’t particularly ‘complaining’ about the doc I was being critical.

Paddy Power advert was pure garbage, good for people that love if we’re being mentioned so they can feel included no matter what.

Tella video was another disaster - anyone outside of Burnley circles thought it was extremely bizarre but for happy clappers the club/anyone affiliated can do no wrong.

Transfer policy yeah I’m a little bit skeptical of because I don’t think it’s a straight guarantee that you can turn massive profits on all youngsters signed. Leeds United rn are a great example of this.

This isn’t to say I still wouldn’t support the club on matchday and get behind the team. Never boo’d once and always try to make noise come matchday 👍

I think he just wanted a club at first when he was a casual - I don’t think you’ll see him rep Chelsea ever again.

I could be wrong but I think he’s got an emotional as well as financial investment in the club now.

Again, look out of Burnley circles and see what they say - I was sent that tweet off neutrals who thought it was a bit poor.

I don't need to look out of Burnley circles, I couldn't care less what people think.

It's a bit like the comment you just made about Pace's daughter that the video was a disaster and people thought it was bizarre.. who are these people I haven't heard anyone remotely arsed about it, even some of our group out on Friday didn't even know about it.

I think you will be a massive minority of people who are upset about a group of lads going to Old Trafford and 1 of them wearing a half n half scarf.

I think people are kidding themselves if they think any of our American owners and/or investors give a **** about Burnley in the same way that a fan does. It's a business to them and they have no real emotional tie other than to the success of the business (exception being Pace possibly due to his Father visiting the area and telling him to do the same etc, but even he had tried to purchase multiple clubs before ourselves including Sheffield United).

As long as they do what they need to do whilst owning or investing in our club what relevance does it really have though? They have invested in Burnley, not Manchester United. I am a Burnley fan who 'invests' his time and money into our club, but I go and take in games when abroad at the likes of Barcelona, Orlando etc - it's just a bit of tourism at the end of the day isn't it? Tone deaf, well, perhaps only to those who for some reason believed that Dude Perfect harboured a life long ambition to be involved at Burnley - but it's no different to when the likes of George Boyd was going to watch his beloved Crystal Palace whilst at Burnley when he could, or Sam Vokes doing the same at Southampton I think it was. Nothing wrong with it.

Pace’s daughter tbf has naff all followers, on one of the fan podcasts ‘From The Bee Hole End’ touched on that a few that they know in PR roles thought it was very poor.

Anyway, it’s not just a group of lads, it’s now minority owners of the club that have a significant online presence. Just think it’s very plastic and poor for them now in that role.

I wouldn’t give a sh** if they were just shirt sponsors

Is it good they are involved ? A resounding yes. They have lots of fans who will support other clubs. I’d never heard of them but my son loved watching them on you tube before they became involved. He was made up to meet and high five one of them at the match.

I do agree with this btw, though I feel that JJ has grown a bit of attachment to the town because he absolutely doesn’t have to go out and about, visit the college/foodbank (on multiple occasions), create some clothing lines etc with profits going to said foodbank and also constantly big the club/town up on socials.

Of course he’s ultimately in to make some return but I don’t think JJ would go to a Chelsea game now and rock a half and half scarf and post it - I could be wrong mind.

Just optics that’s all for who are now minority owners of the club, I don’t think you’ll find any other owners in the league do something similar.

Ahh well if someone who does a podcast as a hobby has been told this then fair do's lets all be embarrassed.

You have this massive hang up that them being minority owners, had they invested in a restaurant would you be annoyed if they ate somewhere else ? Half n half scarves are plastic they are for football tourists who want a souvenir of an event they have been to, it doesn't mean they support both clubs on the scarf.

Hopefully they don't go anywhere ever again apart from Burnley and only wear our scarves.

Are we allowed to have viewpoints on this message board? Or can it only be in support of whatever the club is doing?

I even started a thread the other day noting how great the ground was looking with some more LEDs in and outside the stadium. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah he's a huge fan - I met him once and he said he went down to watch whenever he could whilst at all of his clubs. I wouldn't be shocked if he was now a season ticket holder since retirement, but that's just a guess!

The little snippets you throw in that I have never suggested are so boring.

The caption says #UTC , pictured pitch side at Old Trafford with a half and half scarf with two clubs that are now our divisional rivals

That’s plastic by anyone’s definition.

What is it you don’t think any other owners in the league do similar to what we are doing ?

I’m not even sure what it is you believe we are doing.

The vast majority of clubs in this league have been trying (and succeeding) to widen their global appeal and brand for many years. We seem to be near to the start of that journey.

Personally I have no clue and no interest in DudePerfect or what they do or represent. But I’m pretty sure that I am not amongst the target audience and I am able to make the leap that if the club are doing this then it’s ultimately to improve our brand and indirectly or directly bring in new commercial revenue streams.

I am more interested in seeing the JJ Watt stuff. I know what a massive deal he is in one of the biggest countries in the world and in a sport that is followed in many other countries. Everything he says about Burnley is positive - and not just about the football club. If this helps improve the image of the club and the town then that’s positive for me in itself. But again trying to improve your brand and revenue is the ultimate goal and for many years many fans have said how amateurish our club have been at doing this so again I see it is a positive that there is a deliberate strategy and actual things being attempted in achieving this rather than just words.

Anyway let's hope they club get in touch with them and return their investment for bringing embarrassment to you

What is it you don’t think any other owners in the league do similar to what we are doing ?
Definitely not going pitchside at other clubs rocking half and half scarves of other teams.

That’s all my post was about

Reminds me of a permanently stoned 6th former who somehow became deputy head boy

Dude Prefect!

Are we allowed to have viewpoints on this message board? Or can it only be in support of whatever the club is doing?
There are points of views, and there's persistent moaning about the most inane stuff. Given the time stamps on your posts, sometimes you allow this negativity of yours to consume your whole day. I'm not being shitty, when I say it can't be doing you much good.

So no comment about my thread regarding how good the ground is looking?

Sound. Just raising some points

Dude Perfect are delivering a masterclass in how to behave as ignorant loudmouth yanks. I saw one of them filming with some kids in the club shop and he was completely obnoxious. Put a really sour taste in my mouth.

In the interest of balance I should also say that JJ Watt has been delivering a masterclass in how to properly conduct yourself in these circumstances. Takes care to educate himself and comes across as genuine and funny.

CoolClaret, I think the fact that they #UTC, declares very strongly who they support, as well as financially support. They are on a trip over from USA. Someone probably thought it would be a good idea to view another Premier League game. Burnley didn't have another game. As an investor from abroad, if I read this forum, I might declare that someone who chose to regularly snipe at the club, or kept finding fault, was someone who might be considered to be a 'plastic' fan. Of course as I am not an investor from abroad I don't have that opinion.
Dude perfect might now be able to see how a tiny place (town+ground) compares to a city and 78,000 capacity stadium and draw some conclusions as to how well BurnleyFC do with limited resources and how important it is for BurnleyFC to increase their revenue streams so that we can compete with much bigger clubs.
By reading all kinds of social media they can also see how welcoming or otherwise some Burnley fans are towards those who want to support the club in a less conventional way and witness for themselves how Burnley fans compare to supporters of other clubs when their players take the knee.
Some comparisons will have been good, others not so much.

I think this demonstrates that they aren't actually that invested in Burnley to be honest. I don't find it embarrassing but it's definitely a brand/marketing faux pas. They could and probably should have worn a Burnley scarf but they obviously don't care as much as someone like JJ Watt, so i can only assume any investment is minimal.

Aye of course it does.

Again, of course I’m plastic for giving a honest view. Only been going on 27+ years.

I sincerely doubt potential investors give a toss about an anonymous forum tbh - also for the third time I just posted a thread stating how good the ground is looking after the game on Friday.

I think that some Clarets are so desperate for the club to be in the limelight that they’ll accept anything.

Just my view and I’m in agreement with OshkoshClaret that it’s in stark contrast to how JJ has educated himself about the history and heritage of the club/town and how brilliantly he has been promoting the club.

I don’t fancy replying anymore, I think I’ve explained my position enough on this thread

On the subject of plastic, I am not an investor from abroad trying to spread the word to my regular audience so I don't think like they might. They might think that every fan of the club, big or small doesn't deserve to be insulted, no matter what.

So they don't do it how you would like them to.

JJ is a fantastic example of how to do it right but just let them do it their own way. Why do you need to have such a negative opinion on them? Surely anyone can support the club how they want. Let it go. They've just enjoyed their weekend. Of course you are entitled to any viewpoint on any subject, BurnleyFC or not.
However that also means that anyone else also has the right to a completely opposite point of view.

This was my point of view.

Think some are reading too much into this or taking offence at something and nothing. They have invested into the Premier League. If you are young fans of the clubs on the half and half scarf it broadens the appeal further and draws more attention to our club. Not a bad thing. Stay local with a local mentality or go for wider global appeal. My son called the tall guy over and we didn’t even notice the scarf. He came over and was great. I don’t care about the scarf and I’m glad they’ve invested.

Just a real overreaction to nothing. They are not fans of Burnley FC - they are investing, they’re obviously getting to know the club. Of course they’re going to watch another PL game in the area on a trip over. I’m baffled as to how that can bother somebody. At the game on Friday, they appeared courteous and the kids loved it. They’re shared various pics and videos on their well followed socials. To poke holes in that and use derogatory terms like ‘plastic’ is, to me, quite bizarre and a bit miserable.
