I guess the latest video released has used CGI to include Beyer without signs of any injury

Not been linked (as far as I know) but what would people think of Burnley signing Romelu Lukaku on loan?

Not suggesting for one minute we will but he's not wanted at Chelsea and he has to play somewhere.

I read this morning they were trying to sell him for £35m. Or they could just let him go out on loan.

Mentioned that a few pages back, as have one or two others.

Obviously highly unlikely but the closer it gets to dl day without any other takers, and the alternative being not even making the bench for Chelsea, you would hope VK would at least ask the question.

If (in size 72 font) he wants to play football and stay in England then we’ve surely got as much as a chance as any other PL team.

They wouldn’t give him away to another top 6/7 rival, and an old teammate as gaffer might sway him over the rest of the chasing pack.

There are a lot of planet sized IFs there I know, and it remains highly unlikely but If they want him out the door on a loan, as I say I hope we at least ask the question. Obviously couldn’t afford him or his wages in a full transfer.

Would love to see Lukaku at Burnley, he'd fit the system really well. I've never understood the negativity around him, he's a class player and always has been.

I think he’s a bit of a flat track bully.

Unless you mean the 3 in a row one. But that could have been filmed at any time.

He’s not on the training video.

Perfect for us then. It’s mainly the flat track you need to bully at our end of the league, when you’re essentially writing off 12 games a season and hoping for a scalp or two.

How does he fit the system, kompany wants players who are comfortable with getting the ball to fit, something which lukaku isn’t

Lukaku should go back to Man Utd, his square feet would go well with the square head of Fernandes

Why do people have to be so silly? This is a serious transfer thread.

They probably used a stunt double with a silicon mask to make him look like Beyer.

That would be the signing of the summer and an absolute statement from Burnley but I suspect if that offer was accepted teams like WHU would come along and blow us out of the water for wages alone

What makes you think that?

I don't think he would suit out style but he scored a hat trick against Man U for WBA and a cracking solo goal against Chelsea in the cup for Everton.
They're the first memories I have of Lukaku.

Although I highly rate this bloke, at that find of fee he’s a certain starter.

I am assuming we think he’s going to start on the right wing with Benson coming off the bench?

I’d imagine so.

However PSV fans seem to think it’ll be a min €30m. Can’t see us going that high.

Certainly be a marquee signing. I hope there’s enough left over for a couple of full backs

Not sure we need a couple. Just one left back. I can see Al-Dakhil and Delcroix being used there a fair bit for their athleticism. Still got a loan to use too.

I’m not interested in the above, purely my option he would it suit our style of play if we want a number 9 to drop deep and be good with his feet

I get that, we all have opinions. I personally am unsure if he would be a good signing as I have doubts of him as a person, controversy just seems to follow him the last few years. No doubt he is a top player, but I dont think he has the same passion that he did when he had that WBA loan many years ago and proved himself.

I think he would score goals for us, and the unit that he is and putting himself about would create so much time and space for those behind him, but if we are after a quick tricky forward that can drop in between lines and switch from one side to the other to enable others to take up his role for the fluidity of the side he wouldnt be my man

As exciting as the Bakayoko link is, I just can’t see it. Much bigger fish surely come in and take him. It looks as if he can drop deep and play centrally as well so maybe this is the £20-£25m man that was referred to a few days ago. I’d be delighted if he joined us. Just looks as if he’d be worth an absolute fortune in a couple of seasons time.

For argument sake about hik playing centrally and it being a fluid system where they rotate a lot ……

………………………….Bakayoko/Foster……………………….

Zaroury/Foster….…Amdouni……….Benson/Bakayoko

With options of Redmond, Larsen, Koleosho, Rodriguez, JBG, Odobert as well that’s some options.

Part of me thinks we will see a surprise signing yet as well. Amongst a few departures .

Interesting that Dodgson hasn't been loaned out.
Think there will be a lot of loans from prem clubs to football league in the next week. There doesn’t seem to of been half as many loans from prem to championship this season. Doesn’t help that there where at so many prem clubs travelling half way around the world in pre season

€20m bid rejected. More clubs keen on him.

Nice to see we’ve got budget for this type of player but I’m not very optimistic on our chances with him.

You’d imagine the player must be interested for us to even bother bidding, it’s just if other clubs do come in for him

I don’t know if he’s injured or not, but he’s not in the video.
Jordan Beyer was at Gawthorpe today, he came near the gate and a group of kids were shouting asking for a photo as I went past.
Don't know if he'd trained or if he's injured but definitely doesn't look to be carrying an ACL injury. Looked fine to me

In Bakayoko's case I do think for him to come to Burnley would be great for him. He could start every game and actually make a difference while being formed by Vinnie.

Going to Liverpool to be a bench player for two years... West Ham is a good team where he could play too. But I don't know I wouldn't go there if I were him. Napoli... Learning Italian, different country different style of football... I don't know if it would be right for him. In his own career planning Burnley would be a great situation for him.

That being said I thought the same thing about Verbruggen who shocked me by going to Brighton. Lukebakio would also fit well at Burnley... Still he went to Sevilla instead. Sambi has also proven to be difficult.

But not every case is the same. Not every player chooses for the paycheck. In Bakayoko's situation being young and just starting your first games at the highest level, it would be good to not go to a big club right away. Just adjusting from Eredivisie to Premier League would be difficult enough.

It's also a plus if you feel the management really really wants you. I hope we can do an effort and convince him. Would be a dream signing for Burnley and a beautiful chance to play PL and a step up for the player. Go Vinnie!

The problem is that we go in with low offers and keep upping them so that someone bigger comes in and offers the right amount. If we really want him we have to get nearer the price now and get it done or, if it's too much, walk away. Brighton didn't come in for the goalkeeper for quite a while. We could have had that one done before they even thought about it instead of messing around with low ball offers.

I think clubs ask to be kept informed on players, when bid gets accepted they then match it
