I thought Brentford was owned by Matthew Benham ( has a net worth of around 300 mil - 400 mil USD)Stockbrokerbelt wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2023 6:37 pmBrentford are owned by the richest man in Denmark, pretty sure that their main board members are wadded as well.
He has in fact just sold his Danish club to the richest man in Denmark - Anders Holch Povlsen.

It was me that started the Flight Tracking back when Grosicki was on the verge of signing for us. However, the tracking of his flight only helped as he'd posted a photo on Twitter of himself stood next to the plane he was travelling on at the airport (can't remember which one specifically) in Poland. So it was just a case of locating the plane's number shown in the photo, on FlightTracker to be able to track it
Can you post the picture ?

It certainly is fun, although it does help if there's a photo of the player next to the plane at the airport, but unfortunately I don't think any other players really do it.Burnley1989 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 11:19 amNothing against it at all, its all part of the fun of transfer deadline day, I'd not have a clue where to look
I think Grosicki was probably over excited at the time and so posted the photo.........but that eventually as we know fell flat. Made me chuckle when one of the Claretsmadders at the time reported looking out of the window in Norfolk and thought he could see the plane and when the plane disappeared off the radar near Manchester Airport and the conspiracy theories of what could have happened to it were starting to emerge

Still no left back links yet, be longing for the days of the battle of Stephen Jordan and Brian Easton.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Yep awesome player that just needs minutes to grow. Stopped by a few injuries. Made his debut at 16 as a central defender but he's actually a defensive midfielder with great technical skills. Comparable to Lokonga but more defensive minded. Soon as he really breaks through I'm counting on VK wanting to bring him home.gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 10:55 amI touted him as a VK signing at the start of the window and as someone I rate. Stalled a bit in recent years but that might be down to injury maybe. I’m sure our Belgian poster will be able to offer more on that one.
His progress stagnated a bit due to injuries and due to the Danish not really wanting to use youth players. Otherwise they wouldn't loan him out.

He's an idiot for not coming to Burnley. Say it as it is. His brother and manager is a bit of a loose cannon though. Halfway Balotelli. Wouldn't be surprised if he's the one coming up with crazy demands and overestimating the player. Not caring about what's actually best for him. What's Sambi going to do at Luton? Crystal palace was a dumb choice as well.

Luton would be a properly bizarre move for him.Anthonini wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 12:05 pmHe's an idiot for not coming to Burnley. Say it as it is. Burnley are close to signing 17-year-old St Mirren centre-back Murray Campbell, who has attracted interest from multiple Premier League clubs.

Bit disrespectful to lump Stephen Jordan in with Brian Easton ngl.claretcarrot93 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 11:59 amStill no left back links yet, be longing for the days of the battle of Stephen Jordan and Brian Easton.
Jordan was good for us, the less said about Easton the better.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
I was hoping for Zeno Debast now that his move to PSV is becoming unlikely. Propper technical defender with great vision. Could play with any top team on the ball. Defensively he can still improve. Would be a great asset and someone who can grow with us to the top. Seems to be a good moment to pick him up below his actual value.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
If this is true I reckon Sean is looking to force them to sack him. Lennon to return to Everton and a bid for Brentford’s Mee to follow.ClaretAndJew wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 12:01 pmEverton are apparently looking at bringing in Ashley Westwood.

I would take Tresor because he looks a decent acquisition, first team ready, but we do already have a lot of wingers. The focus should be on strengthening weaker positions than adding to positions where there's good strength in depth. I'd be getting annoyed if I was Zaroury or Benson.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
I thought the comment about Westwood was a (good) joke. It would be hilarious if true.
We need to stop trying to deal with Sunderland. They clearly hate us and double the prices whenever we come near.

| William Balikwisha to the Premier League?
The Burnley club would be interested in the 24-year-old midfielder. Standard de Liège asks 6 to 8 million euros to release him.

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Not sure we NEED a striker. Foster has set off well. We have numerous other attacking players who play or can play as a 10. J Rod probably only going to get a handful of starts as it is. LB is a different matter. Not a single player and back up options look poor. (Assuming VK thinks Charlie can’t adapt)

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Lots of fluidity in the deals today, all situations moving and changing very fast. We have 4 medicals booked for today but I think that is a best case scenario.
Expecting to use at least a couple of them and sounds like Tresors is happening now.
I suspect the loan limit will mean we are chopping and changing on different deals. If Origi and/or Daka end up falling through we could move for someone else very quickly.

What is happening with Tresor ? Is he on his way by plane or not ? Nothing yet on LB's which absolutely ridiculous. Are we trying a loan for Gomes as you would think our Man City links would have brought us something useful. What happened with Reggie Cannon the Right Back who was supposed to be joining. Lokonga situation is laughable as he will take the Luton deal even if they only pay him half what he wanted as there is nothing else for him. Absolute joke he never accepted our offer.

Set to win the race for Murray Cambell. I know nothing about him except he is young, wirey and was targeted by a few clubs.
