So you keep on playing either of the other 2 in the hope their combination actually starts working?
As others have said, when we're not playing teams owned by countries and who have gazillions to spend, we'll have a better chance.

Cork is clearly not the answer to us being beaten by teams with quicker players…

I can see why some might believe he could do a job on Tuesday though. It won’t be a pretty or technical game.

Think we will win. One thing is certain in my mind is that VK will be telling the boys to be very positive and attack. I wish it was on TV to watch us go for it.

Me. Any tips for parking?

Last year I parked on Sainsbury's car park, a 10 min walk away. I booked it on one of those parking apps so could stay over the usual 2 hours.

In 18/19 we had 12 points after the first 19 games. Not sure why the 7th game of any season is must win, particularly a season where we have played 6 of the top 12 including 3 of the top 5. Not sure how anyone can’t see the improvement in the team this season and how we are laying as anything but positive tbh. Should stay up comfortably I reckon.

Think todays team is not far of four best team, with obviously Foster to start. We have the strongest bench I have known, so very surprising, particularly as we have been usually losing at HT that we do not exploit our full sub quota and also leave them very late. A contrast to last season

It's not a must win at all, it's a good test of where we are after a baptism of fire in the early weeks of the Prem.
We draw or lose, we have plenty of time to heave our way up.
I think the next four games will renew the doubters' faith.

We struggled to beat them last season at a time when we were on fire and had a consistent team.
Think they have a lot of last years team still playing and their win today now takes off a massive amount of pressure to beat us. But also will have given them a lot of confidence.

We struggled with their physicality and with their poor pitch last season and I think it could be the same next week.

It’s not a must win game though. We have not worked things out yet this season from either a style or selection point of view and I doubt very much we will have by next week.

Brilliant if we get 3 points. Decent if we get a point. Not a disaster if we lose but show signs of improvement and don’t get bullied.

We need 13 wins to stay up , this needs to be one of them I would have thought. We were robbed against forest so we should be on 3 points really.

The consensus is that if we don't win it will stop this, "well what do you expect, we aren't supposed to win these games against the top ten teams" guff.

We have to beat Luton by 4 goals to move out of bottom 3. I will take any sort of win tho...3 points is paramount.

Luton will get a few good hidings this season but I don't think they are as charitable as some people like to think as today proved, Everton will have the know how again to stop up I think we'll beat them by a 1 nil, not enough signs have been shown where we can go & tear teams apart at this level.

Looking at the highlights of the game yesterday at Goodison we should have a field day against their defence.

Still think this will be a very tough game. They seem a strong physical side, and after watching their highlights against Everton, a threat from set pieces.

Just hope we can deal with it, as you’d think this will be an area they try and exploit.

Why? He wasn't good enough last time we were in the PL.
Because he's six foot and knows how to organise defensively. Obviously we need 3 in cm. He's not going to start many games, but against Luton, SU and Everton he has to. If he doesn't we will have learnt nothing from Bramhall Lane.

To be honest it was flip of a coin him or Berge. Berge’s height may help in such a game, I was just disappointed with him today. Brownhill shouldn’t be starting many more for us at this level, but we are just lacking in options there (hence good old Jack Cork being considered again despite spending £100m plus!).
Watching all the games this season, IMHO, Cullen is the weakest of our midfielders. My issue with Cullen is he doesn't seem to promote a positive attacking mentality and passes rather than shoots. I would start with berge, brownhill and Ramsey with the new lad (if he is fit) on the bench.

Thats not quite correct, its possible to beat Luton by 2 goals to move above them depending on how many goals we score.

If we were to win by 3 goals we would also move above them on goal difference.

After their result at Everton and our horrendous start to the season, Luton will be absolutely chomping at the bit for this one.

I don’t think we can afford to go behind early in this encounter like we do for most of our games.

Exactly that; those games we've already played (and lost) are to a degree secondary. To stay up we need to take points from every game we play against the clubs around us, which this season looks like being Sheffield, Luton, Everton, Bournemouth, then Wolves, Forest and perhaps even Brentford & Fulham; I don't see Chelsea being in the bottom three after 38 games. In our previous EPL relegation seasons we had some good wins against top-six clubs, but our downfall was in not taking the majority of the available points from those clubs around us; this one's no different and even at this stage and playing away WE MUST NOT LOSE.

My maths might be wrong but isn’t their goal difference 4 better than ours and they’ve scored one more goal,so a win by 2 clear goals will do it.

Really struggling to grasp any panic or pessimism. We’ve only had a single game, away, against a team who will be bottom half, and had a win robbed via VAR.

The interest on Tuesday for me is how lower teams handle our young skilful players who are better in some ways than last year’s versions. Our front four should be fun to watch.

The biggest problems will come through set pieces and corners . Everton struggled with this and they're a lot taller than us . We can definitely out play them on the floor but we mustn't give any stupid free kicks away in our half .

It's not a must win game in the sense that it will relegate us but a bad result will probably leave me wondering whether we belong in this league, the excuses (with merit) have come in thick & fast regarding the standard of opposition so far but the flannel/waffle surely presents itself as a stopping point with these kind of games.

We had one of these kind of games against Forest away and picked up a result which would have been even better but for the dubious intervention of VAR and a worldy

In your opinion what is so different this time against Luton away?

Win 2-0 and we are out of the bottom 3.

We actually played them early in the season on the turf when we were drawing lots and we did beat them away later on at theirs…it’s not a must win yet but the sooner we get that 1st one under our belt the better

We had one of these kind of games against Forest away and picked up a result which would have been even better but for the dubious intervention of VAR and a worldy

In your opinion what is so different this time against Luton away?
It should represent our best chance of picking something up as on paper its our easiest game so far.
