He was an absolute shocker, 4 yellow cards for us and didn’t look to be a bad challenge in any of them from where I was sat, appreciate Taylor got his for mouthing off.

The redmond yellow was utter nonsense.

Not seen it but told that O'Shea was carded for being fouled and Taylor's for apparent time wasting. Taylor out now against Everton.

The commentator said exactly that on the stream I watched

Never ever a yellow that. Only in the eyes of this inept referee.

Amazing that he gives so many dodgy decisions yet we rarely lose when he is in charge of us.

Taylor was for time wasting at a free kick around the centre circle.

He was all set to take it then walked away for Trafford to take it

Apparently so. I thought it must have been mouthing off as the notion he was time wasting was ridiculous.

But not sure why that deserves a booking??

Wasn't at the game but the amount of times he was in the way was noticeable from TV

Because that’s what the refs have been told to clamp down on. But like with most bookings, it’s the consistency in what is deemed a booking that’s the issue

TV commentary said nothing about it being for dissent and the Sky app says for time wasting

For me, and I wonder if anyone else saw it, he had a ‘Man City’ type of moment again even though it wasn’t as bad. Brighton crossed the ball in to the box which was cleared to the edge of the area. Redmond looked like he could have been clear through but Hooper blew for a foul to us. Unlikely as it was for Nathan to get all the way to their goal without a challenge I thought he blew far too quickly.

Yeah I saw that too. Looked like redmond would have a free run at goal (admittedly from our 25-30 yard 'line') so to mot play advantage was ridiculous

We had a similar incident at Forest involving Taylor and Trafford only this time Trafford was booked. Consistency!

From the tele he was a homer, he kept up well with play to ensure he could discriminate against us.
jdrobbo most people watch the games live on the tele these days, I still think you should be able to mark from the tele.

Redmond scraped his foot down the players achiles (not sure if intentional) and then tripped him on his 2nd attempt at getting the ball.

Certainly worth a yellow.

I’ve never seen a man so desperate to see someone give a referee a performance rating.

Surely someone who attended the game can mark just 4 letters and 4 marks up to 25.
Rate the Ref is a cracking feature listing all our referees and posters opinions on them by marking and says how many games Burnley have had them and even the results of those games .
JD Robbo needs a few to mark to make it a competitive average

When you’re behind the goal in a low tiered stand it’s hard to tell half of the time whether decisions are correct or not, hence me not scoring.

Trying to understand why those of us who watch on TV can't rate refs? but we can do player ratings? We get the benefit of replays and that helps give us a better perspective on whether the decision was correct or not. I understand there are things we don't see as he's not always in the picture, but seems it would help?

I would love to attend but live 6,000 miles away these days so not really practical, so you'll never have me rating a ref.

Yep, always wondered that myself…🤔😳🥴

As much as I enjoy the feature, it’s pretty much redundant anyway these days, considering the bloke reffing the game isn’t the guy getting the scores. The bloke on the pitch with the whistle is just the mouthpiece for the real match referee who is sat in a studio somewhere.
