With the new FFP Rules it makes sense to bring in loan players. If we get relegated our 3 year rolling loss allowance will drop dramatically from about 80 Mill to just under 60 Mill. Would he want another season in the Championship? From his point of view, he's been there and done it. Much more likely, in my opinion of course, that he's up for going to Southampton or Leeds because they fancy promotion. Then he's either Premier League with them or goes elsewhere.

But he doesn't play enough, isn't consistent enough, and doesn't contribute off the ball enough. There aren't many teams who can find a place for a player who's entire game is flashes. Wingers always rotate in the modern game and barely finish 90 minutes. Heck, look at our lot this season even - bet you'll struggle to find many that played the full 90 consistently.

His game isn't just 'flashes of magic' - using his moments of magic as a negative is just obscene. His inclusion alone opened the pitch up as he was doubled up constantly - even Gvardiol was standing off him when he came on agaisnt City in the first match.

He cost relative peanuts - absolutely no need to not have him as a rotation winger for the remainder of his contract - offers something different and is a fan favourite.

Oh and he scored literally scored once every ~ 150 minutes of gametime, so hardly 'flashes of magic'.

We're shite as is, I just don't understand it and this bullshit transfer policy.
