Another night, another dream, but always you.
Etihad again tonight then, I wouldn’t like to guesstimate the goal difference I’ve been witness to here over the last 10 years or so!
Most probably on a hiding to nothing tonight and I’d imagine the players may feel a bit of that deep down.
It’s been a very frustrating season so far for various reasons, I've certainly felt that and it’s not been easy to find many positives, that probably won’t change tonight but stranger things have happened (just about!).
Our away support is absolutely class on its day so hopefully we can stay with the lads right to the end tonight, no matter what the outcome will be, or how bad it gets. A vociferous show of loyal support will be good for everyone on what could be a difficult night on the field.
Up The Clarets!

Re: Another night, another dream, but always you.
Having been there season after season I've skipped it today.
We will get beat. Probably handsomely.
But it's the hope that keeps you going....UTC

Re: Another night, another dream, but always you.
If we had anything left to play for this season we’d be best forfeiting the match and having the 3-0 loss. As we haven’t anything to play for we might as well show up have a go, get the expected battering and add to the L column.

I’ll take a goal.
We’ve managed just one in our last 12 games against them!!

I expected a great performance v Luton instead
saw a gutless rollover. Tonight I expect a better
performance and at least 100% effort regardless of the score

Re: Another night, another dream, but always you.
true but lots has changed in that time - Pep had Dyche largely figured out; we're a different team now. We'll most likely still get hammered but I'd fancy us to have a couple of half decent chances at leastagreenwood wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 1:27 pm

Re: Another night, another dream, but always you.
It wasnt good but it wasnt a gutless rollover. We win the game with a clean sheet but for a dreadful refereeing decision. Looking at the positives its promising that we can at least now look solid defensively when we aren't at it on the ball.Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 1:33 pmI expected a great performance v Luton instead

I've opted to give it a miss tonight, just to much hassle getting there for the obligatory thumping. Fair play to all the Clarets going hope you witness something special.

That gutless rollover where we were winning til a terrible decision at the end and still got a point.Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 1:33 pmI expected a great performance v Luton instead

Gutless rollover to a point. Yeah that’s a new one.

Giving tonight a miss and most probably won’t even bother watching on tv either
Got training until 8 so wont see any of the first half and by time I get home, changed & something to eat it’ll be virtually over any way

Re: Another night, another dream, but always you.
Looking at my sports paper it gives the last 8 fixtures which contain a 6-0, 4 lots of 5-0 score lines in a row and just the solitary goal for us.
I fear there may be trouble ahead

Man city 11/8 over 3.5 goals. Not ideal but at least a bit of compensation for the suffering!
Re: Another night, another dream, but always you.
De Bruyne will want to show the city fans what they have been missing and haaland needs to get his goal tally back on track.
We may be in trouble!

I wonder how many times we will gift them a goal playing out from the back?
Re: Another night, another dream, but always you.
To sell all our tickets tonight given how potentially horrific this game is is frankly beyond belief, I'm in awe of and thankful to every single fan making the trip. And I'm sure they'll do us proud even if all hell is breaking loose on the pitch and the chips are firmly down.
I don't usually pray but I am tonight for some kind of miracle.

I'd say avoiding a club record defeat has to be a priority tonight.
Less than a 4 goal margin would be well ahead of expectations.

Re: Another night, another dream, but always you.
I will be watching on TV tonight and expect us to be on the wrong side of a proper thumping.
I will probably criticise a few players and VKs tactics, go to bed in a bad mood but will get over it for Saturday, with a totally different outlook and that exciting feeling that most match days bring.
That's the life of most football fans outside of the top 4.

Why do you post constantly stupid stuff.
You love to target certain players, yet if someone says something directly to you then you whinge about out. Maybe you should think the words you are using at times
