A few stats before tonight

Post by Westleigh » Wed Jan 31, 2024 4:58 pm

A few stats so that we don’t get too giddy if we score first, the next to the last line is the one that hurts most.

I don't think we need worry about losing any points from a winning position tonight! ;)

Well should we go in front let’s hope it’s in the 89 minute so we don’t have time to lose it 😄

Their unbeaten streak in midweek matches is due to come to an end.

It does feel like the most hopeless gloom ridden build up to a match ever, so let's pray for some kind of miracle freak result!

Your welcome,I didn’t want to get anyone’s hopes up,anything less than a 3 goal margin is a positive, looking at your name it could be worse it could be Man U and Rashford getting a goal.

If we lose but show the same spirit Luton have shown in the past 2-3 months, I will be well chuffed. Because if that happens we will lose by an acceptable margin. Any other score however would be incredible and a massive bonus and statement

Grim stats but got to take almost every game as a fresh start especially at this point because we're going to have a lot of grim stats.
Do I think we'll get stuffed? Almost certainly. But for all the talk of no expectations/entitlement or free hits this is 100% the most true example of it. Got to just ignore the stats/history and have a go because there's nothing to lose but goal difference.

And then some dodgy VAR ref would knock it off and give City a pen,and don’t forget VK said we would get better every match after we played City ,he happen meant this match.

Why does VK scoring 20 goals in 360 appearances for Man City hurt?

After seeing the line ups their bench would beat us and there are only 9 of them.
There couldn’t be a better example of how this wonderful sport has been ruined by money.

That isn't the second to last line

At least we broke the scoring streak! How many consecutive goals had City scored in Burnley v Man City games, before our goal?

[Edit] Just checked, it was 31 going back to Robbie Brady's consolation in the 4-1 defeat in 2019.
