Absolutely humiliating statement. At the time I thought it sounded arrogant and Vincent would be made to look foolish for saying it. Way, way worse performances than the City game and he’s not doing a thing about it.

I was quite surprised to see it’s been a good six weeks since we last saw this thread but then I remembered we’ve just had about three weeks off.

We were up at the top of the championship at the time.

We are now 19th best team and it’s hard. Fans would sooner be in the safe, warm waters of the championship.

Our challenge is beating those clubs in the bottom half. Occasionally we will beat a team like Liverpool or Man United and the pain suddenly seems worthwhile.

Maybe you prefer the safety of beating Barnsley and Rotherham?

Not surprised by that at all. What does surprise me is that there have been about 10 worse performances than that City home game after Vincent said it would be the worst we’ll be all season.

Game and in game management was woeful again…

Moving to a back five after were 3-0 down shows we were set up wrong from the start.

Man City are the best team in the Premier league and Europe. Probably the best Premier league team since Arsenals invincibles. Whatever position we would be in the league it would always be difficult. I know we lost and city had most of the possession, as usual, but I don't think that did that badly. We did not see the usual 30 plus chances from them and with a bit of luck, and composure, we probably could have scored more than one.

They are the only games i would say i thought we were worse than the first game of the season in. The rest we have been relatively competitive in, other than bad VAR calls, missing too many chances and conceding straight from sloppy mistakes from memory.
