I’m finding the ones who stay on more braggadocio tbhLeisure wrote: ↑Sun Feb 18, 2024 1:25 pmDon't see why you would consider it childish for people who stayed on to the end to say so, especially on a thread in which other people appear to relish telling everyone that they didn't stay. As I posted earlier, everyone has a right to leave early if they want but then why the need to seemingly brag about it? Weird

Re: Home before the final whistle
Lots to agree with here and in Dan's subsequent post. I'm uncomfortable with the ownership structure and debt, I don't like the way the club communicates these days and the apparent lip service to many of the club's traditional USPs, and I think the way we handled business last summer was a mistake and has undoubtedly contributed to a detachment from the team.dandeclaret wrote: ↑Sun Feb 18, 2024 12:55 pmCool, that makes sense. From
My perspective I enjoyed the fact that the club didn’t buy into all of the myths about football… that you could only play one way, that you had to spend huge money on over valued footballers with questionable morals and attitudes, and I enjoyed that hard work, endeavour, talent and team spirit delivered results. Very much substance over style, but it was unique. Now we’re just another club gambling on being over broke on the hope of developing a
Mythical profitable talent pipeline and getting results. No club of Burnley’s size has done that in the top flight for a prolonged spell, and the championship and below are full
Of Icarus style clubs who flew too close to the sun.
But if the business strategy is coherent, it has to cater for the possibility of relegation in the summer and the need for player profits to be realised over a 2-4 year window. If that is the case then I'm cautiously optimistic there are enough good players in this squad for a core to deliver a good and sustainable Burnley team over the next 3 years or so (at least provided we can bounce back) and I don't think the understandable reactions to the disappointments at home this season is especially helpful to the team. They've been set up yo fail this season but I think they can give us a decent future if we don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.

They keep telling little porkies about these stars investing in the club.Burnleyareback2 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 18, 2024 1:34 pmNo idea who they were but certainly not Malcolm Jenkins.
Saw that tweet- don’t ever recall hearing he was an investor in the club.
They have invested in ALK. They aren't shareholders.

The old omg this league is so tough stuff does not stand up when you look where Luton are.NewClaret wrote: ↑Sat Feb 17, 2024 11:10 pmCould not disagree with this more.
I really cannot understand how football fans don’t understand the difference between the quality of the opposition in the premier league vs championship.
The team have not gone backwards, we’re just playing teams several levels better than anything we faced last year. We’re miles off this level but we’re well above championship level too. Comparing this and last years performances is like comparing apples and bananas.
On the spending point, I agree £96m is a huge amount for us. But you have to look at what the teams above us - Forest, Bournemouth, Everton, Brentford, Palace, etc - spent over the last 2-3 years. £96m is a pittance at this level.
Being easily beaten by any premier league side does not mean
So what next?
Re: Home before the final whistle
That's one of the funniest posts of the season.
If cowards leave early then people like you who don't attend games are what?

I stayed to the end, as usual. It was an easy walk out!
Re: Home before the final whistle
I don't recall saying that.
What I did say is that you don't attend games, proven by your constant posts on the matchday threads. So saying people leaving early are cowards is a bit strange coming from someone who watches games from an illegal stream.
Surprised you don't get free tickets anyway while your watching Benson "kopp" out of training.

There's a difference between rumours and bullshit.
No worries keep telling everyone how great you think the new regime is, I'd probably think so too if my experience was based on sitting on my arse and watching it from a laptop. Catering would definitely improve if I had access to my fridge.
Person who doesn't attend games labels fans coward. What a surprise it's you.

Why do you come across as someone who’s opinion is more valid than everyone else’s?pushpinpussy wrote: ↑Sun Feb 18, 2024 3:13 pmWhy do you come across as a person who is constantly miserable and discontented ? I'm not sure it is healthy.
Re: Home before the final whistle
Well just maybe the bloke who you were criticising also goes to games that he wants to, or is it only you who is allowed to do that and then criticise other posters?Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 18, 2024 4:11 pmIm not the one calling fans a coward for leaving early.
I’m not shy in saying I haven’t had a season ticket for 3 seasons now.
I go to games I want to and that’s it.
