Yeah exactly
Young spinners I meant as well* - freudian slip.
The young spinners have done really well, but if you can't bowl spin in India you might as well pack it in.
Sadly both spinners will be 2nd choice spinners for their counties and might not get much cricket in the summer.
Especially in the early games where not more chance 2 spinners will play.

I like this idea, especially when you look at Lancs because Lyon will play and Hartley won’t get a sniff.

Again who holds the ashes ?
Australia RETAINED the Ashes, they didn't WIN them... hence the series being a draw.

I still don't think he will grasp the difference

Yeah, it seems a bit mental that we're going to block the development of a promising young spinner to bring an Aussie over.

Hartley will probably benefit more for a season training with Lyon.
I’ve got to be honest, I’m not seeing an awful lot in these spinners. I hope they are given a chance to prove themselves though.

Before this Test series, I think Hartley was seen more of a one day player.

Hardest skill to learn though. Takes a lot of time to get anywhere near close to mastery. Promising signs for me.

A T20 player at that.

England do.
For some reason we never let them take them out of the country.
This is true

Australia but they already had them so we didn’t have them to lose, I don’t understand how that is so difficult to compute for you that we didn’t lose that series.
We didn’t win it either and lost the last 3 tests , hence losing cricket, Baz ball is a project that doesn’t work

Just out of interest, do you not believe Stokes and McCullum have improved the England Test side in the last 18 months? We've gone from a side that barely won a game (never mind a series) to a team that has just lost its first series (home or away) against an India team unbeaten in a Test series at home in 12 years.
Surely you have to concede that "Baz ball", which apparently is a term the team all hate, has moved the England side forward?

Which ever makes you feel better.
I must apologise though for you feeling bullied, I had no idea. I will bear this in mind when you are making silly little comments in my direction and remember your fragility.

So your losing cricket comment is really that they’ve lost 3 games in India…. A country who haven’t lost a test series at home since 2012….. fair enough.

It’s certainly the right approach for me.
Like all top level sport they need to tweak some of the decision making, as I posted previously - the end of innings for example, but it’s entertaining. Which is what we want, or should want, sport to be.
On the situation with the spinners, I got talking to someone last night about Hartley, he was set to be Lancashire’s 3rd/4th choice spinner next season with the red ball. It will be interesting to see if that changes now.

A different test match here. Ireland won their first ever test today, beating Afghanistan by 6 wickets in Abu Dhabi.

It’s not test cricket though is it “Baz ball” will soon disappear, when the project fails.
