Clarets vs Bournemouth - Match Thread
Re: Clarets vs Bournemouth - Match Thread
You can almost see the headlines should it happen
Trafford starts against WHU despite suffering a hair line fracture to his wrist last week. WHU have agreed he can play in plaster cast as they have no concerns about possible head injuries to their forwards and VK is happy he wont cause any head injuries to his starting 10

Is it too late to put Solanke in my fantasy football team for this game ?

I can only surmise that VK has a Redknapp, Clough, George Graham contract whereby he gets 10% of all signings in and out. For a man who played 10 years in the PL he is clueless.

Disappointed to see massengo the latest player going AWOL from the squad after seemingly forcing his way into the team

I'm doubly peed off because this is one of the games i picked last July when Pace conned me and thousands of others into panic buying tickets last summer on the back of the title winning euphoria. So I've actually had to trek up to Burnley to sit on the Turf this afternoon and witness whatever shambles unfolds today... least its sunny

Watching the warm ups. It's definitely the normal back four, so Vitty must be on the wing and BL in with Fofana.

How is Sky Tv going to cope with the sunshine beaming over Turf Moor ? .. They love to give the impression it’s raining here 24/7 .. maybe they will have to find an 80 year old Burnley fan to chat with .. with a flat cap and a whippet

To be fair Bob I doubt anyone saw this coming after last season and it was probably a shrewd match to choose. Like you say it's sunny and a day out and we have made changes so fingers crossed we make today the day we put in a good display.BobSykes wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2024 12:43 pmI'm doubly peed off because this is one of the games i picked last July when Pace conned me and thousands of others into panic buying tickets last summer on the back of the title winning euphoria. Re: Clarets vs Bournemouth - Match Thread
Not there today due to the early start and have sold back my tickets, watching on Sky. Baffled by the team, I remember the Bee Hole podcast joking early in the season about the expletives whenever we see an unpredictable team, feels like that today.
Vitinho is a trier and has some talent, but is outclassed at this level, plus he is out of position, so too, presumably, is JBL. All that weaponry on the bench but it can’t score from there. Really love to be wrong but it feels problematic today.

Assuming Vitty is there to run and run first half and then an early change for Benson to do some damage second half, or so I optimistically hope!

On a positive note it’s good to see Tresor is back on the bench....he could be a game changer for us when he comes on.

Re: Clarets vs Bournemouth - Match Thread
Any Clarets think this is the day when if we get panned the terrace revolution starts should our home record be P14 W1 D2 L11 Pts 5 Pts lost 37
I have never felt so bad about the team in all my 74 years watching us apart from the Orient season. Had a ST since the Orient season and have reservations for next season given the distance I travel to games now and what I think is to come.

The only way I see him changing the game is if we are leading when he comes on.Vino blanco wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2024 12:54 pmOn a positive note it’s good to see Tresor is back on the bench....he could be a game changer for us when he comes on.
