What must Vigeroux be thinking ??
If the club he signed for at the end of June 2023, then signs a "profile" goalkeeper for 19m mark end of July 2023 and his other competition in Muric does not even get a start/a chance after he only conceded 35 goals from 46 games in the championship in a team that won the league by 10 points.
The team has won 3 games out of 27 and we have conceded 60 goals and nobody else gets a chance !!!! he must just be thankful he gets more money than he got at Orient for doing 100% less work !!!!

He will be thinking he got signed as a 3rd choice goalie and he is a 3rd choice goalie and there's nothing remotely unusual about it

Of all the reasons to criticise the club this season, this is not one of them.

He may also be thinking it's common decency to spell his name right, I suppose.

And he is probably getting paid circa 10k a week for the privilege. I bet he is very happy. I don’t blame him and I certainly wouldn’t knock him either.daveisaclaret wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2024 12:01 pmHe will be thinking he got signed as a 3rd choice goalie and he is a 3rd choice goalie and there's nothing remotely unusual about it

Don't most clubs have third choice keepers?

Is there a competition being held for who can start the daftest thread ?
Re: What must Vigeroux be thinking ??
If there is, it would be a difficult compition to judge given the number of entrants and the ever increasing ability to find new subjects in order to make the same points.claretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2024 12:31 pmIs there a competition being held for who can start the daftest thread ?

Can’t imagine GK training is much fun for the 3 of them when the elephant in the room knows he isn’t going to play.

Re: What must Vigeroux be thinking ??
lol we signed a goalkeeper then who at the time (as nobody knew we were signing Trafford 5 weeks later) who according to you thought he could not compete with Peacock for the number 2 spot !!! lololol nothing like signing a player with ambition !!!!
Re: What must Vigeroux be thinking ??
When he signed I don’t think he signed expecting to be Number1. However if he hasn’t had a look in now he never will. So I would be off if I was him. No goal keeper should sign for Burnley if they want to play in the 1st team while James Trafford is here as he will always be picked no matter how badly he plays. That’s the message we have sent out this season.

Plenty of goalkeepers do it. 3rd choice but get a decent wage, and in his case the opportunity to train with PL footballers and coaches.

Perfectly acceptable to sign as a 3rd choice, as long as it's not a long-term, or career, choice.CoolClaret wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2024 6:30 pm'Tripled my wages, don't even have to play a game or show up on matchdays - life is good.'
I'm sure having Burnley on his CV will enhance LV's chances of landing a decent job, perhaps at Championship level.... or maybe he will step one place up the GK ladder with us next season.

Don’t have a go at Barry. After all he was signed up by mud analytics so should know more than most about soil.agreenwood wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2024 1:53 pmThis could be an interesting new UTC series.
