Just switched over to the b@st@Ed’s game. Is there Covid restrictions or a lockdown in Blackburn as there is a lot of blue seats on show…

Saints are 4th, conceded 5 in the last two. We absolutely need to sign some experience but if we do that then I agree, nothing to fear at allAGENT_CLARET wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 4:39 pmI'm watching the B@stards game and the Hull game, the defending in this league is gash lol, we've nothing to fear next season

Re: Today's Football
Sheffield United could win every game till the end of the season 5-0 and I wouldn’t care (well, bar against us I suppose). What does it matter anymore? We’re down and have been since before the pumpkins were being put out. Relax and look forward to next season, it cannot come quick enough. Literally no point in wallowing in misery.

We are currently the sh!ttest team in the division with Sheff Utd winning away at the team that beat us with relative ease last week, a team that shaped like a mid table championship side, let that sink in

Re: Today's Football
Id just take a winger who can press at the moment. One who can shoot or cross with either foot as well would be a luxury. Anyone who says Zaroury has had a fair crack this season is a liar, he had a bad game sure but who hasn't?

Re: Today's Football
Id look forward to next season more if there were positive forwards signs. As it stands I don't see many signs we can replicate last season- it's an entirely different team, might change again, and a lot of Kompanys astuteness from last season in particular use of subs has gone absent. If we start actually making a fight of it the last couple months I'll be looking forwards to it, if not, I'll be apprehensive.jedi_master wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 4:42 pmSheffield United could win every game till the end of the season 5-0 and I wouldn’t care (well, bar against us I suppose). Luton leveller is almost comical.
Palace rolling over and comitting the sin of thinking they'd won. Poor marking.

JBG out of contract might get a renewal might not
Brownhill we have a one year option no word if weve exercised it.
Zaroury, Benson, Muric all wildly out of favour, they won't be much part of our team. Muric will go, Benson probably, Zaroury maybe (I'd say probably personally)
Cullen yes.
Beyer yes but he's struggled for fitness.
Massengo yes but barely played for us, got to bed in.
I'd also say Foster and Amdouni are possible departures (which could leave us light on strikers), maybe Odobert. And Koleosho will have a huge for sale sign over his head once he's fit. Taking it far too for granted about next season.

We've seen this year what happens when you build a team around loans then don't replace them.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 5:03 pmbut we also have 5 loan spaces in the Championship. We are pretty nailed on to use them all and probably with City and Chelsea
Bellis I'd say was adequately replaced by O'Shea
We haven't signed any like for like replacement for either Tella or Maatsen, even if both seemed overpriced at the time that's huge negligence to not find an alternative.
I don't want us reliant on loans that we can't afford to convert, again.

Re: Today's Football
it's the cheapest way to get players though which I suspect is something we will have to do. We all know last summer was a complete disaster and this season was entirely predictable because of it (although I didn't expect us to be THIS bad). This summer will tell us if they genuinely have 'learnt'spt_claret wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 5:05 pmWe've seen this year what happens when you build a team around loans then don't replace them.
