Well that was a pleasant surprise. I think we need to change it up a bit in the second though as we struggled badly to retain the ball for the last 20 mins of the half, hitting aimless long balls and not competing for seconds. Odobert surely isn’t the answer in the no 10 position.

I think West Ham will come out all guns blazing and worry how we’d react to conceding the third goal.

Been very fragmented viewing today, only half watching had some personal things to sort out. From what I've seen (didn't even see 2nd goal) we're very lucky to have a lead, nevermind 2-0, but I'll take a lucky win over an unlucky loss all day long. Can't really comment on anything in particular as I've not seen much beyond the first goal and a few West Ham attacks. Hopefully we hold onto this lead, would very much like to see a win today.

They have had more of the ball going forward but we have stood up to everything they have thrown at us so far. Trafford barely been tested which is a credit to the way the defence have worked so far.

The lad on the right is giving Taylor a bit of a hard time but nothing costly as yet.

Fair play, don't think anyone saw that coming. Shows how important it is to take advantage of a good start. Usually we do ok for 10 minutes, concede a soft goal and the game plan falls apart. For a change we got the early goal, giving us something to hold onto. Let's hope we can keep it tight in the early stages of the second half.

Agree with this. He looks like he’s running in treacle. His recovery runs have always been slow for this level but he looks ponderous and like his legs have gone today.

That was a really good first half. West Ham were poor but I think we made them poor - we've often started games quite well then drifted out - the goal gave us some confidence so we maintained that start.

I want to see that continue second half and then again next week. If we can finish on 20-25 points it will be a good final quarter of the season and hopefully a springboard for next.

The worst thing would be for this to be lost and we peter out with odd decent "we've turned the corner" performances wvrry 4 games or so, which is how the season has played out mostly- that makes everything more indecisive and we end up sticking when we should have twisted.
