So for anyone new wishing to buy 1, they have to register their interest, instead of just being able to get 1? And unless I’m being thick (wouldn’t be the first time), then that would take them past the early bird period?

Re: Season tickets next season
I was just trying to compare and contrast the pricing with last seasons - but it appears the club have purged the website of the news articles for pricing for 23/24 (presumably to stop people like me checking). Does anyone know what they looked like because whilst the rise for me isn't that large (Adult - JMU), the rise for the seniors seems big...

2022/23 - £262
2023/24 - £290 (the biggest increase last year at almost 12%)
2024/25 - £360
So it's gone up almost 39% in two years - absolutely no explanation I can find on the info given out

I think it is. If you follow the link on the website and choose 'Renew your season ticket' the price shows as £504, not £525 for adults as it shows on the email.

Unjustifiable whatever bullshit they are using as reasoning in the graphics they've cobbled together on the website. Comparing pricing with 2014/2015 for some reason (when we were in the Premier League and were not in the same geopolitical/economical landscape, or even close) bears absolutely no relevance on the here and now.

Love the line in the email 'After much consideration, we are pleased to announce our early bird season tickets'. They might be pleased to announce it but we're no pleased to hear it. As stated by others nearly a 25% increase for an Over 65 in Longside.

There will be a lot of I'm alright Jack's who say the price increase is not that much- it's not that much on mine either.
However I can't condone the price increase for some of the over 65 tickets, if true that they are between 25-35 percent increase then that's pretty shambolic. I'd have rather mine been increased more to keep those costs more reasonable.

To add to this I’ve been told that the back two rows of the Jimmy Mac Lower are now going to be hospitality. There’s about 12 of us who has sat together forever and we don’t have seats for next season . We used to sit where the current hospitality seats are in the JML and had to move to our current seats when they were created. Contacted the club and they are going to come back with options. To be fair the person I spoke to was very sympathetic and optimistic that they can sort something out for us. UTC

I am 37 and the rise isn't much for me (and I am fine with that), but seeing what they've done to kids and OAP pricing is ridiculous really. Why not an equal percent increase to keep it as 'low' as possible for everybody, and thereby be fair to all age categories. I would not have minded at all paying slightly more than I am being asked to if it meant that other age groups weren't penalised for seemingly no reason other than being in brackets that ALK have determined as 'too cheap'.

To clarify, anyone with a current Direct Debit who doesn't cancel will get the benefit of early bird prices without having to do anything?

Re: Season tickets next season
On concessions this is the recent Spurs policy:
- Senior Concessions: The number of senior concession Season Tickets has risen to four times the number at White Hart Lane – not taking matchday concessions into account. This increase is clearly not sustainable and will start to limit ticket choice for others year on year. We have, therefore, reluctantly taken the decision not to make new senior concession Season Tickets available, starting from Season 2025/26 – however, matchday senior concession tickets will remain available.
- Existing Season Ticket Holders who become eligible for a discounted Season Ticket for the 2024/25 season, will still qualify for a senior concession Season Ticket at a discounted rate of 50 per cent – this applies only to those currently sat within a concession area. All currently held senior concession Season Tickets – prior to Season 2024/25 - are also unaffected next season and will have a 50 per cent discount applied.
- All senior concession Season Tickets will then be phased to a 45 per cent discount in Season 2025/26, to a 40 per cent discount in Season 2026/27, to a 35 per cent discount in Season 2027/28, a 30 per cent discount in Season 2028/29 and a 25 per cent discount in 2029/30, bringing it in line with match day senior concessions and Young Adults. Junior concession Season Tickets will remain at 50 per cent.
Looks like we are jumping from ~ 40% to 30% in one season.

Shocking.
Given where the money goes, and where the income comes from, to hit fans with such a rise is awful. I'm not a concession, but that increase is, to me, the most appalling.
Difficult to justify unless you're looking to squeeze and maximise, which, of course, these owners are. That's the reality of them. Arseholes.

It's bad enough that my ticket has gone up over 24% but an under-22 in the same area has got a 44% increase. And it's 55% in the Longside upper wings.

Just done some quick calcs on last year and this year prices for our group in the JMU
Adult 5% increase
O65, u12 & u18 25% increase
On the assumption we are down and have 23 games next season, there isn’t much change in cost per game
Adult £19.87 to £22.89
O65 £13.16 to £13.66
U12 £2.89 to £3.00
U18 £5.26 to £5.43
Adult 5% increase
O65, u12 & u18 25% increase

Re: Season tickets next season
This is what I just don’t understand with it. I was a ST holder from 13 years old up to 22 at which point I couldn’t afford it in terms of time and monetary value. I’ve been back the past season because I was finally in a financial and lifestyle balance that could allow me to, rather than go to odd games every season. The reason I came back is because of those memories of being on the Turf as a younger lad and all that comes with it.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2024 1:53 pmIt's bad enough that my ticket has gone up over 24% but an under-22 in the same area has got a 44% increase.
The landscape for U22s is pretty bleak as it is and to now lump a near 50% increase will surely in the long term see attendances dwindle? That’s not nurturing or cultivating your young fans, that’s actively putting blockers and barriers up. A 44% increase kills it for a lot of younger fans because individually and as a family unit, that’s some financial gap to find. It’s frankly shameful.

that doesn't seem to be the reality for a lot if seniors and U22's

My season ticket renewal was in my basket at full price. I proceeded to the checkout and managed to apply the money from my On Account which has now reduced the total price of my Season Ticket Renewal.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2024 9:18 amIt shouldn't do.
I sold my ticket on there for the Villa game and just used the 26 quid to part pay for an Everton ticket.
It just deducted it, very easy process.
As I pay via Direct Debit am I to assume that I no longer need to do anything else and they'll take the correct payments (based on the reduced amount)?
Or do I need to complete the check out with the discount applied and add my bank details to set up a new direct debit?
There's absolutely nothing on the website or in the FAQs about doing this.

Really useful post. I don’t like rises of any nature but that does put in to perspective that £3, £5.43 and £13.66 for U12’s to O65’s still represents outstanding value for money in my view.wilks_bfc wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2024 1:59 pmJust done some quick calcs on last year and this year prices for our group in the JMU

Re: Season tickets next season
Might be an over reaction but my slight rant and feelings I have about it all -
The once blurred line between BFC as a local community club and its takeover by American v̶u̶l̶t̶u̶r̶e̶s̶ financiers is becoming more and more apparent with each passing day.
I'll always love the club but I find myself contemplating not bothering going on anymore. I can't always get on these days after having a ST for years - one off tickets were up at £45-65 for a game this season, ended up dropping circa £300 on just 5 games, all of which btw were convincing defeats.
The club should do more for local fans - we're a club that absolutely will rely on local fans when times aren't as good just as we have done in the past.
Burnley is hardly an affluent town - families especially are effectively being priced out going on the Turf right now and it's so important to bring young Clarets on to get the sort of 'drug' or buzz of going on and supporting BFC; it's easy enough for them to go and support a 'big team'.. Might not be apparent now but in 10-20 years it will be BUT wouldn't be the first time where MBAs and Finance dudes are short-term profit above all else...

Even if we stay up and over 19 games there isn’t much more difference at £3.63 £6.58 £16.53
