Re: Season tickets next season
£250£346= £96 in one year for one particular category though. Not very fair in my book. But it's what it is, we either take it or leave it.

We shouldn't just be rolling over and taking it though, right ? It is very wrong.alwaysaclaret wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 5:16 pm£250£346= £96 in one year for one particular category though. Not very fair in my book. But it's what it is, we either take it or leave it.

How much has your season ticket gone up over the last ten years ????alwaysaclaret wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 5:16 pm£250£346= £96 in one year for one particular category though. Not very fair in my book. But it's what it is, we either take it or leave it.
Re: Season tickets next season
Last summer I put myself and my son on the season ticket waiting list. I’ve heard nothing back since, although I have friends who have just walked into the club shop and bought a season ticket. I assume it’s because o need a ticket for a 7 year old and the club limit where you can buy those.
I logged into my account for the first time in ages yesterday and clicked on renew and was directed to the waiting list again. Are we actually at capacity for season tickets?
Tbh I’m debating not bothering. My only options are Jimmy Mac Lowe or upper. Don’t don’t fancy Lower because the view is crap and you get pods wet through.
The cost of upper is a lot. Particularly when I’m travelling from Leeds and I won’t be able to go every game as I work some weekends. So I’m looking at 50-60 quid a month DD plus 40 quid petrol every trip. It’s a lot with a young family. My in laws are Huddersfield Town fans and my son goes to watch them a fair bit and it’s looking like that’s who he will end up supporting at this rate. Sad really

The only places in the ground you don't get pods wet through are the Cricketfield and the Bob Lord.

Re: Season tickets next season
I was on an adult ticket in jhl last season so think was £453, the same ticket next season is £504 on early bird, so on that basis would be £51, so around 11%. By qualifying next season for oap my ticket is £346, this season was £250, consequently gone up around 38% I believe, which is my point, the range of increase in percentage terms across the board. To single out 2 categories with big increases just doesn't sit right, the other one being u22. However I do agree in principle with your point of not much increase over the last 10 years on average.AGENT_CLARET wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 6:52 pmHow much has your season ticket gone up over the last ten years ????

Seen as what, 7 of them was under a previous ownership group that did freeze prices - so that time period cannot be included whatsoever, to do so is disingenuous at best.

Surely before coming to their decision they have considered all the seasons before their arrival that fans have had this benefit and decided it worthy to bring a little bit of realism back to prices. Yes they are the bad guys to you but to others they are notCoolClaret wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 10:34 pmIt isn't at all

It's hiking concessions up as much as feasibly possible to raise them, to eventually do away with concession tickets.
This strategy along with the price for one off tickets for the Turf is terrible for the long term health of the fanbase. Might be brilliant for short term profits though.
Nothing more to it.
Re: Season tickets next season
But the prices haven't changed for about 10 years.alwaysaclaret wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 5:16 pm£250£346= £96 in one year for one particular category though. Not very fair in my book. But it's what it is, we either take it or leave it.
I've got a season ticket at home from 2009 that is £16 more than I paid for last 5 years

Sorry if it’s already been mentioned but can you renew your season ticket by paying on your credit card ? And is it the same price,I don’t fancy direct debit and would rather pay it off over a few months

Re: Season tickets next season
I've never done it, but can't anticipate there being a problem other than maybe a charge for using a credit card. I suppose it depends on the amount they may charge you for the privilege.
Re: Season tickets next season
I hope so, that was my plan too, going over there either later today or tomorrow.

Re: Season tickets next season
Has anyone had the experience of placing a child's ticket on the ticket exchange scheme ?
My partner is not renewing her seat next season and I'm thinking of taking a child ticket for her seat to take the various grandchildren along from time to time. We can also upgrade on a match by match basis for any adults that wish to come along too.
However, in the event of no-one wanting the ticket, what do you think will happen if the club sells the ticket via the exchange scheme to an adult ?
Who gets the extra money ?
I think I may know the answer

A child ticket is only worth about a fiver. Not really worth putting it on the exchange.Funkydrummer wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 11:41 amHas anyone had the experience of placing a child's ticket on the ticket exchange scheme ?

But if you do, the club get 50 quid cash and you get 5 quid credit.
Re: Season tickets next season
There is no charge for paying by credit card
Stopped charging a couple of years ago
I have paid with mine

Re: Season tickets next season
I thought credit cards stopped paying for STs as they didn't get paid until the season was over and it was too dangerous with clubs going into admin?
Did something change?

Re: Season tickets next season
I've paid by credit card for last two years and not had a problem
Went into ticket office and he asked if it was credited or debit card
Was charged correct amount for my tickets
Not sure when they get paid but it's showing on my account as being paid

Re: Season tickets next season
If that is the case then I wouldn't give the club the satisfaction of making money out of me (again). I was hoping, in the interest of fairness, that they would at least split the profit after administration costs.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 11:45 amA child ticket is only worth about a fiver. At £6 per game I'll stand the cost and have an empty seat to sprawl across.
Re: Season tickets next season
I see Forest fans are very unhappy about their season ticket prices for next season and aslo complaining that the Fan Advisory Board were less consulted and more informed about the increases.

Re: Season tickets next season
Adult prices have gone from £465-£660 to £550-£850
An 18yr old this season would have payed £190 and now be classed as an adult so is a big increase
Re: Season tickets next season
Thanks Smidge
Re: Season tickets next season
For one, they obviously can't sell the ticket to a child. It has to be an adult.Funkydrummer wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 11:41 amHas anyone had the experience of placing a child's ticket on the ticket exchange scheme ?

I agree it would be nice to take your child to 18 matches and sell the ticket for the other 5 to pay for it and make a profit, but the club isn't going to go for that. If profit is to be made from selling a child's ticket to an adult, then that profit really ought to go to the club, not to a either a genuine fan who just happens to want a bit of profit, nor to a potential ticket tout. (If someone buys a single game match ticket for a child and then returns it when the child can't go, would you expect the club to refund just the child price, or the full adult price if that's who they sell it to?)
Re: Season tickets next season
Just got a club email, confirming my SS us in place and will be collected on 2nd of each month.
My season ticket is, therefore, renewed!

Re: Season tickets next season
I refer to them as Americans because they are from America. Half the Premier League is owned by Americans seeking to earn profit from our national game and that is bad.CharlieinNewMexico wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 7:16 amCould you perhaps explain to me why you had to refer to them as Americans and not just “businessmen”.

Re: Season tickets next season
Nationality is relevant because of the different sports models. The American sports model is for the owners to take profits out of the club. The British sports model, traditionally, is not. (For the majority of the Football League's existence, it was against the rules for the owners to take more than a dividend and for the directors to take any salary.)CharlieinNewMexico wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 7:16 amCould you perhaps explain to me why you had to refer to them as Americans and not just “businessmen”.
