Good start for Clitheroe winning against Burnley. I see Darwen won as well, what about the other newcomers Harwood?

Just noticed the Rishton game was delayed for 6 overs for an injury to the sub pro Nicol. Hope he's alright, sounds serious.

He had played well getting 86 when no other got double figures.

In the Darwen game Church batted first and scored 151.

Darwen then replied with 157 for 6 in 35 overs with an amazing 49 extras.

And you don't want to look at Rishton's batting card where extras were the second top scorer again and the highest scoring amateur got 6.

Former Rishton professional Rob Nicol will fly home to New Zealand on Thursday for surgery on a ruptured Achilles Tendon whilst acting as sub professional for the club at Accrington on Sunday.

Rishton secretary Andrew Procter said: "Rishton Cricket Club and Rob Nicol would like to thank the prompt actions and good wishes of all at Accrington Cricket Club during the unfortunate incident. We would also like to thank the Paramedics who attended together with all of the medical staff at Royal Blackburn Hospital A&E Department for their prompt efficient treatment of Rob during his stay at the hospital. Rishton Cricket Club wish to thank Rob for his efforts on Sunday and wish him all the best for a full and speedy recovery."
Taken from the Lancs league website.

Gutting for the player and lending club.

It would be nice if someone could post all the League results each week if only to keep this Geordie exile informed of Tod's progress.
