Who have you seen in a chip shop?
Went to my local Chinese takeaway (in Wetherby) last night and Adam Pearson came in. I presume he lives nearby and didn't offer my commiserations.
Maybe he wanted sweet n sour balls. So, who have you seen in your local takeaway?

Re: Who have you seen in a chip shop?
Not exactly a chippy, but Louise Redknapp has just walked past me and saw she had a ticket on her brand new Merc jeep. Not that she cannot afford to pay it! A very masculine car for a classy lady!

John Connelly - set up his chippy in Brierfield. Amazing to be served by a Burnley legend.

Re: Who have you seen in a chip shop?
Me and my mate saw Mike Conroy in a Pizza shop in Colne Road. We'd been playing football on Thompson Park all day and were both caked in mud. He was brilliant, gave us both his autograph and chatted with us whilst his Pizza was cooking and even shook both our muddy hands when he left. As a 13 year old I was left in total awe. Once I got back home to Padiham I told my dad and relatives, showing off my autograph, which softened the blow of being a few hours late. Needless to say i thought I was the bo11ocks all week.

Re: Who have you seen in a chip shop?
I was stood behind Peter Kay once in Media City. We were both in a queue for a Burger Van, he was with (presumably) his son and when it was there their turn to order, Kay asked the lady if the sold chips. The lady said 'No', so they went somewhere else (presumably) to find chips.
Does that count? I know its not a chip shop, but its chip related.

Re: Who have you seen in a chip shop?
I once saw Gary Neville and Marcus Bent in the same Chinese restaurant in Manchester on the same night (after a United vs Everton match many moons ago).
At the time Neville was a regular for United and England, had won just about everything and was clearly a high profile player. I decided to go and say hello as he was leaving (I didn't think he'd appreciate me interrupting his dinner!) and he was the nicest guy you've ever met! I know it's not Burnley but it's not often you get to meet a player who's won as much as that guy did. I even had my photo taken with him to show my United supporting pals! Lovely guy.
After this I thought I'd do the same with Marcus Bent (one of my best mates is an Everton fan so I thought I'd try and get his autograph or something). I waited till he was leaving, as with Neville, but I couldn't get anywhere near him because of his entourage. He must have had 3 or 4 security guys surrounding him - "you can't come near Mr. Bent tonight" etc etc... what a fraud!! It was similar to the time I saw Dwight Yorke in The Living Room on Deansgate. He walked in with an entourage that filled half the bar. What must it be like to have an ego like that?!!
