You're on a tipping point question, with no multiple choice.

I'm more amazed that she thought Leicester was in the North West.

Not if the Lady in question thinks Leicester is in the North West if England and that orange is a primary colour.Dazzler wrote:You know you've made it when...and only when...folk know you're the answer to the question.

I have a friend who has a pretty good knowledge of European football. Every time he sees me he asks "How are Barnsley doing?" It's like he has a mental block.

I was watching a team of bankers on an oldish episode of Eggheads today. The Arts & Books expert hadn't heard of Dick Francis or John Betjeman; she also thought Dan Brown's first book was published in 1962. The history expert (and graduate) hadn't heard of Ann Bonny or Mary Read and didn't know to within 300 years when the Hundred Years' War took place.MACCA wrote:Not if the Lady in question thinks Leicester is in the North West if England and that orange is a primary colour.
And the question that lost them the jackpot was to name the currency of Colombia. The choice was peso, dollar, and shilling. This is a team of bankers, remember, and two of them were still playing; they rejected peso because it sounds too much like Mexican (presumably not realising that as both countries speak Spanish, they're supposed to sound similar); they toyed with shilling, because they thought it sounded right; and they went for Dollar, because they though CBD might be the currency ticker code. (It isn't, it's COP. Colombian Peso.)
I don't know which bank it was - it's a multinational with head office in Birmingham, so it could be HSBC. So if you're fancying laundering a bit of Colombian drug money, it could be a handy bank to use - they won't know where the money is coming from!

No, he's serious. He's not smart enough to try winding me up.
