I too hate the original song, but I could tolerate repetition of its most famous line.

Plus, we Burnley fans only sing songs with repeated phrasing.

Just as Dyche wasn't too keen on being referred to as 'Ginger Mourinho',I doubt Tarky would appreciate being referred to as a Frog.

Love the song though...Happy tune

When offering up new ideas, just for us numpties, can you include "to the tune of..." information please?

I get that some of these songs are famous and legendary and all that, but they are only that if you know them.

Obliged to you.

Why thank you!

I propose getting a load of inflatable hot dogs and frogs.

They could become the Premier League version of our Championship dolphins??

How about this (yeah also posted elsewhere):

(To the tune of Sweet Caroline)

Where it began
He got the push from Watford
But then he knew they'd got it wrong
Howe was homesick
He ****** off back to Bournemouth
Who'd have believed he'd come along

Pope, to Ben Mee.....
Tarkowski, to Bardsley.....

Sweet Sean Dyche
Burnley never seemed so good
Not long ago
I believed they never would

But now we, go to the Turf
And were now not so lowly
Full ground in the Premier league
And when we lose
Losses run off his shoulders
Weve got faith in these claret and blues

Cork.... Stephen Ward,
Now Defour, now Chris Wood.....

Sweet Sean Dyche
Burnley never seemed so good
Ive been inclined to believe they never would
woah woah woah....

Sweet Sean Dyche
Burnley seemed so good
Sweet Sean Dyche
I believe they never would
Sweet Sean Dyche
Good times never seemed so good

Could we not use the “lukaku” song for Tarkowski.. along the lines of...
We’ve got James
Tarkowski
He’s just our 6 foot 3 defender
And it really is quite splendour

Defending for our team
Hes an absolute machine!

Sorry I’m leaving

Seems unfair to leave Lowton out.

Followed by, for the midfield:

For Stephen Ward, you could always go with

Stephen, Stephen Ward (Clap Clap)

For Johann Berg Gudmondson you could always go with......... not a Scooby.

Hot dog, jumping frog is the best version and adds humour to the terraces.

As for JBG, simply to Twisted sisters’s we’re not gonna take it:

Johan Berg Gudmundsson,
Johan Berg Gudmundsson,
Johan Berg Gudmundsson... on the wing!

JBG just fits into ta ra ra boom de yea. And as it is already used for countless songs it does have a chance of being used.

Possibly a better scan with the chance to add another cult figure (apologies Stephen Ward) is.....

Ben Mee Dean Marney James Tarkowski

Loving the suggestions about including other players and like the Marney reference.

I also think it adds humour to include the hotdog and jumping frog. It's Tarkowski's chant, so he should end both lines perhaps?

Hot Dog, Jumping Frog, James Tarkowski.
Ben Mee, Dean Marney, James Tarkowski.

The speed singers wouldn't be able to deal with the necessary pauses between the words.

On that basis it gets my vote!

The chant they use for Moeen Ali at cricket (to the tune of "There's no limits" by 2 Unlimited) would fit for a few of our players names (and suit the speed singers)

E.g "Ben Mee, Ben Mee, Ben Mee, Ben Mee, Ben Mee, Ben Mee, Ben Mee, ..BEN MEE!

" Tarky, Tarky, Tarky, Tarky, Tarky, Tarky, ..JAMES TARKOWSKI!

Seriously though lads - this afternoon can the Clarets “Get Lucky”?

From the legends of the Longside
Up front and out wide
What keeps the planet spinning
The Clarets keep on winning

We’ve come too far
To forget who we are
Let Dyche raise the bar
Lift the cup to the stars

We’re up all night for Steve D
We’re up all night for Ashleeey
We’re up all night for Ben Mee
We’re up all night for Dean Marney
