to be fair they are both decent fighters.
Probably both good enough for world top ten so with 4 or 5 different titles available (or whatever the number is these days) either could easily win a world title whilst at the same time avoiding the very best fighters in the division.

I agree they are both very cocky - but all part of the hype to sell fights. Will be interesting to see how Eubank copes if Groves catches him. Eubank looks strong but not sure about his chin.

Not interesting enough of a fight for me to watch though - boxing has gone to the dogs. Used to love the sport 20 years ago.

I like Eubank. Nothing against Groves. But seems to have lost an edge since the Gutchnek fight.

The number of world titles dilutes things for me.

Bjs would get leathered by ggg.

Eubank jnr has a granite chin by all accounts.
Cuban super heavy Erislandy Savon couldn't put him away in sparring, despite outweighing him by 3 stone
I fancy groves to jab his way to a points victory personally

Probably couldn`t put him down because his dad stood in front of him !

Don`t think Eubank has been in with any real big hitters yet.

I would love Groves to put Eubank away, but I think since the Froch fight he has spent a lot of time soul searching and could have left it too long. But what a fight Groves V Froch was.

Eubank Jr hasn't proved nothing yet. The man from Brighton loves a bum or 2 as that's all he's beaten and a way way beyond his best Abraham who he couldn't move despite virtually teeing off on him for most the fight. Eubank Jr has no power at all just but he is busy. Think Groves will lay him out cold with a right hand counter when Jr lunges in.

BjS embarrassed Eubank until he gassed. A Fit BJS cleans out MW he's by far the best boxer in the division.

Have to laugh at the thought of Eubank winning by KO he has no pop in his punches at all.

20 KO’s and nearly killing someone says to me that’s there’s plenty of pop in those punches. Eubank has improved since the BJS split decision. I think it will be a good fight and I can see Eubank winning.

20 KOs against absolute bums which were in fact mostly stoppages with the guys still on their feet. Example of power , Groves Polaxed Froch with a right hand counter 1 shot but Jr couldn't do that mainly because he doesn't have the power, speed or technique.

Eubank has not one thing in his favour in this. Before you say stamina, if you watch Jr he throws flashy shots ( lots of them ) then start his posing to get a rest. 2 mins work 1 min rest is Eubanks usual game plan. Go watch.

Only one winner in this

Its a good match up this, if groves is at his best and let's his jab go throughout he should win, but can never write of Eubank jnr.

You've alluded to the one thing he does have in his favour, output! If there is any way he wins this it's by sheer volume.

There are some people vastly underrating Groves on here. Since he's fought Froch he's become a world champion for a kick off. As others have alluded to Eubank's output is not enough against Groves, whose timing, boxing ability/footwork is far too good to get run over. His jab is a powerful tool, he keeps his distance and he generally hits a lot harder than Eubank.

I'm not saying Eubank has no chance, I looks to have improved since he lost to BJS. But to a large extent it's a punt to say he'll win, because while impressing he hasn't really fought anyone since his loss either. I think it'll be a really good fight, but Groves for me all day long.

I'm not sure how anyone can say BJS is the best in the division when he hasn't fought any of the top 3 guys. Danny Jacobs would walk through BJS

I think when you've been knocked out as Groves has, admittedly both times by a fighter superior to Eubank, it gives your opponent the confidence that he can get at you and Eubank is very aggressive and strong, but I just wonder if Groves is too big for him physically, and also being technically skilled, as is Eubank, it could be Groves s knockout power that is the one thing being underestimated here, especially if Eubank tries to jump on Groves early.

The thing is, one of those 'knockouts' was an early stoppage - he should've been allowed to fight on. The other punch would've knocked out some cruiserweights. Eubank carries nowhere near that power.

I might be proved wrong, but I really think Eubank is like a freestyle footballer who looks brilliant in a shopping mall, but wouldn't sniff a game in the championship. Eubank looks amazing on the pads and beating up bums, but against any class he'll just look out of his depth.

Groves for me, he's a good solid fighter who on his day can verge on world level. Eubank is an excellent athlete and if he's going to win it will be through outworking Groves I'd imagine.

Carl Froch has sparred with Both and rates Eubank the better boxer with the harder Punch and tips him to win inside the distance.....i think he knows a bit more about boxing than you and i so im going to go with Eubank Jnr....

I'm not suggesting he would've won that first fight, far from it. But it's a stretch to say, as some people are, that groves has a suspect chin in comparison to Eubank. Groves has been sparked once in my eyes, with one of the best punches of frochs career. Eubank hasn't faced anyone as heavy handed, including groves.

As for froch saying Eubank is better, sparring is sparring. And he's hardly grove's biggest fan is he. Now groves is world champion froch would love to see him KO'd. You'll find plenty more pros backing groves than you will Eubank.

Pretty much agree. Plus Froch didn't exactly say that Eubank hits harder or is better. Go on to IFL TV etc on YouTube and see the interviews for yourself.

Eubank has only fought 2 genuine guys BJS who schooled him before gassing out and Abraham who is way beyond retirement, and a semi decent banger who stands still in Spike O'Sulivan.

Groves only lost to Badou Jack by split decision. Jack is an absolute monster at 168 so much so that he's now campaigning at 175. If someone like that can't move Groves then there not a cat in hells chance Eubank will.

Interesting to note the subliminal messages the Eubank camp are putting out about the referee stopping the fight because Jr is vicious etc and to protect Groves. Looks like they are hoping the ref will jump in and stop it if Jr rattles of a dozen punches despite not doing enough damage to drop Groves. Groves is too smart to stand still anyway, a counter from groves will spark Eubank just watch.

The whole thing revolves around Groves ability to control the distance, if he can its a wide points decision or maybe a late stoppage if not he may well be stopped himself.
