Tarka praised by Henry
For his part in Ash's goal, i.e. Keeping it in beautiful ball through to Lowton whose pass to Ash was (IMHO) sublime.

Lowtons ball through was superb.
If it was Iniesta to Messi, you'd be watching it every ten minutes for the next fortnight on Sky.

When I saw a replay of the goal, Tarks play is one of the two things that stood out. His touch was superb and then of course Lowton's pass was immense.

Didn't know Lenny was at the game utc
Re: Tarka praised by Henry
Already watched it alone 10 times and dragged 3 mates in to watch it another 4 times . . .beautiful. Dion Dublin who was at the game waxed lyrical about it as well. utcbobinho wrote:Lowtons ball through was superb.

It's also how he looked up and knew exactly what he was doing. This wasn't just a pass and hope.LordBob wrote:Already watched it alone 10 times and dragged 3 mates in to watch it another 4 times . . .beautiful. Dion Dublin who was at the game waxed lyrical about it as well. utc
Not every brain would have seen that ball, but he did, within milliseconds.

Re: Tarka praised by Henry
A lot of defenders would have hoofed that and cleared into the stands. Tarks showed quick feet and presence of mind to feed Lowts and the rest is history. Excellent goal all round.

I've seen World War 1 tanks turn quicker than the English central defenders we currently have.scouseclaret wrote:Quite right too - tarks was fantastic. Could be going to the World Cup ?...
I'd pick him.

I never saw Keane outpaced like that when he was playing for us.

Keane would have been on the other side. He looks far less comfortable on the left side. Of course, for Everton he has to do both at the moment as Ashley Williams has unfortunately lost it.

Re: Tarka praised by Henry
It was very good work from Tarks and a sublime pass from Lowton.
Yet the sky sports write up says
“Burnley equalised when Barnes ran on to a long ball from Lowton”

I can imagine that Sky had second hand information there, but wait, they covered the game live.
Surely they can do better than that.
IMO for what it's worth, today was probably the most entertaining game I've seen at the Turf this season and Lowton's pass was beyond any reasonable doubt the highlight of the game.
Sublime.

Sky absolutely hate showing incidents which do not involve the top clubs. The Burnley goal at Goodison Park has rarely been shown on Sky but had it been scored by Man City et al. it would have been shown every hour, every day since 1st. October.
Re: Tarka praised by Henry
They show City more because well, there the best team this country has seen for years. Weve had a **** load of praise all season. People ignore it. Forget it. Mainly negative types. Bill Leslie commentating today said Jeffs winner at Everton was “majestic football”, “one of the goals of the season”.MT03ALG wrote:Sky absolutely hate showing incidents which do not involve the top clubs. The Burnley goal at Goodison Park has rarely been shown on Sky but had it been scored by Man City et al. it would have been shown every hour, every day since 1st. Sky don't hate teams like us.

No chance. Southgate will take those two clowns from United Jones and Smalling with Cahill, a shoe in, then maybe Maguire from Leicester as the reserve.scouseclaret wrote:Quite right too - tarks was fantastic. Could be going to the World Cup ?...

Whoever wrote that should be highly embarrassed and start looking for a new career immediately.1968claret wrote:It was very good work from Tarks and a sublime pass from Lowton.

Tarks part in the goal was sheer class.

Re: Tarka praised by Henry
Assuming that Southgate was there with an interest in Tarky's performance I can't see any reason whatsoever why he wouldn't be included in the next international squad. The progress and development he's made this season is as outstanding as anyone I can remember in many years watching Burnley.Almost Beckenbauer-esque at times and for the younger ones on here who never saw him he was one incredible talent.Claretitus wrote:No chance. Re: Tarka praised by Henry
I thought the MOTD pundits concentrated more on Everton's failings rather than how well the Clarets played ! The build up to Barnes goal was superb, great balls from Tarks and Lowton as at Goodison also. Sky commentators Redknap and Henri both recognised the merits of that goal and were very complimentary of Burnley!MT03ALG wrote:Sky absolutely hate showing incidents which do not involve the top clubs. The Burnley goal at Goodison Park has rarely been shown on Sky but had it been scored by Man City et al. it would have been shown every hour, every day since 1st.
