Jamie Carragher
Video doing the rounds of him spitting at a United fan and his 14 year old daughter! Could be the end of his nice little earner with sky.

If true, ouch! But then again, they took Gary Neville back on when it was shown that he could only talk a good game, but not actually manage. So anything could happen.Steve-Harpers-perm wrote:Video doing the rounds of him spitting at a United fan and his 14 year old daughter! Could be the end of his nice little earner with sky.

Re: Jamie Carragher
Just read this... funny.
Not condoning spitting. But Carragher managed to combine volume of spit, and accuracy, whilst in a moving vehicle. That can't be easy. Take nothing away from him. Hope to see more analysis on MNF tomorrow.

I think Carragher has been an excellent addition to the SKY team. This though, is a totally unacceptable and vile act. Unforgivable and should cost him his job. You can't go around doing that. Why on God's Earth, do some footballers have to be so thick?

Re: Jamie Carragher
The driver who is illegally filming whilst driving sounds like a scouser which begs the question why is he so happy that Utd won. Sounds like a dick to me. Very poor from Carragher but I hope he doesn’t lose his job over it. The other thing is that the video only shows the end of the event. Who knows what went on before.

Re: Jamie Carragher
The driver doing wrong whilst filming is besides the point - that's a different matter and shouldn't come into play with regards to Carragher.
Re: Jamie Carragher
Hopefully he doesn't lose his job, a fine/warning would be enough.

He's gotta be sacked after that! Claiming he was "goaded" 3 or 4 times? The fella in the car says " Jamie 2-1 " and he gobs at his daughter!!! Lovely! If they don't sack him, I will cancel my subscription. Disgusting.

Actual video evidence of spitting vs possible contradictory statements made by target of spitting incident. How do they know his daughter is in the car? And if it is his daughter, why does the driver shout, "Jamir Carragher" and not "You're dad is over there!" (or such like).

If you randomly started filming someone and your kid's 1st instinct was to go "don't dad" - I'm guessing it's not cos' they expect you to say anything worth hearing.Spiral wrote:Actual video evidence of spitting vs possible contradictory statements made by target of spitting incident. It would look like he doesn't like the person driving and isn't impressed he's with his daughter.

Am I reading this right? Is bfccrazy actually apologising for Carragher, here? I've just watched a video of Carragher literally spitting on a child.

I'm not sure where all this is going....Carragher got some stick from a guy in a car who had his daughter next to him and Carragher reacted in typical out of character scouse fashion .

I still think it's strange that the driver called him Jamie Carragher - with JC's supposedly daughter next to him. That just comes across as strange - unless they dislike eachother. Otherwise, you'd be calling him by his first name because you're a friend of the family.morpheus2 wrote:I'm not sure where all this is going....Carragher got some stick from a guy in a car who had his daughter next to him and Carragher reacted in typical out of character scouse fashion .

Re: Jamie Carragher
Am I missing something here? It's not JC's daughter, there's no mention of JC's daughter in the description or footage. The guy giving JC some stick has HIS daughter sat next to him and she's a bit embarrassed by her dad's behaviour and she ends up getting some scouse goz on her because of JC's reaction to her dad's banter..FactualFrank wrote:I still think it's strange that the driver called him Jamie Carragher - with JC's supposedly daughter next to him. Re: Jamie Carragher
No one can excuse what Carragher did and he deserves whatever punishment he gets.
The bloke filming it and baiting Carragher seems a bit of an arse though and didn't seem overly bothered that his daughter had been spat on.
Any other dad would've gone for Carragher, but this bloke seemed smarmy about it...
He's got the result he wanted though, he goaded the bloke enough for him to lose his reaction and part of me hopes the police hand him some points and a fine.

But can the person filming be an excuse? I'm not convinced. JC did it and from what I can tell, did it without much provocation - and I still don't get the daughter thing. It all seems really weird. Why would you spit when your daughter is in the car, in the first place?Sidney1st wrote:No one can excuse what Carragher did and he deserves whatever punishment he gets.

I don't know where you're getting a reference to Carragher's daughter from if I'm honest.FactualFrank wrote:But can the person filming be an excuse? I'm not convinced. As for the person filming being an excuse, there isn't one really for spitting on anyone.
They may know each other, this may have been going on for longer than the clip that's been released, we will never really know.
Carragher seems to have been able to contact the family quite quickly though which suggested some history.
Either way if he gets potted he's no one but himself to blame.
He's actually very good on Sky, alongside Neville, so it will be a shame to see him go if he does.
Re: Jamie Carragher
RIP Jamie Carraghers punditry career. Suprised he hasn't been pulled up for his constant televised spitting before.

Driving a car whilst filming someone on your phone can.

Re: Jamie Carragher
IMO....
The girl was just as annoyed at her dad for his part in the incident.
She was just as embarrassed by his actions ( and who could actually see any other hand gesture etc ) as JC.
Not condoning spitting it's disgusting, but I find it hard to be believed JC purposely spat at the girl.
Seems the girl knew exactly what sort of "banter" her dad provides to opposition players/supporters whilst in his car.
Both a pair of idiots in my book, sadly only 1 will get punished.

Re: Jamie Carragher
In all honesty, the dad of that girl came across as a total bellend. I'm not saying that justifies Carragher spitting - it doesn't at all. Totally wrong to do so, even more so at a young girl who was not to blame at all for the idiocy of her dad. The Dad claims he said "good result" to Carragher when he clearly didn't - not on camera anyway. It wasn't like he was trying to have a chat with Carragher about the game. By filming Carragher and repeating the scoreline over and over again he was clearly trying to get Carragher's attention and wind him up. He didn't mind doing so with his daughter in the car with him either.
The girl seems embarrassed by her dad and he honestly seems a lot more concerned about the incident now...he didn't even seem that bothered when his daughter told him in the moment. You can just hear that one sole cog in his head whirring as he realises he can get his 5 minutes of fame. Plus he was filming while driving - very responsible. Honestly, he's as much to blame as Carragher and I hope he's apologised to his daughter but I doubt it.
