We’ve done well to get that. Only entitled to a thousand so club have done well to get that number. I’d assume they will have got the usual away section on the TurfMACCA wrote:They'll be plenty of unhappy people, 2k is not very good

How is 2k not very good ?
Similar capacity to our ground with a similar allocation, we could have been away at a much smaller ground and got a lot smaller allocation. They only have to give 5% by the rules.

Re: Kick off times and prices confirmed for Aberdeen games
Ideally we'd have got a team with a 30,000 capacity stadium and about 10,000 supporters......but as Blackburn Rovers are not in the Europa league that wasn't an option......

Similarly our support is going to be disappointed with our allocation for Turf Moor. I reckon we would have easily sold out 4000 plus. We have taken 7,000 for an away Europa League game previously
I personally am likely to be struggling to get a ticket but have booked train and accommodation already so coming down regardless.
Lot of our lads are going to stay in Manchester, but I've booked Burnley and now hearing that your pubs are likely to close @ 11pm. Surely that isn't right ?

I hope to god they've sorted the online ticketing system out. Gonna be a lot of annoyed people if it crashes.

Re: Kick off times and prices confirmed for Aberdeen games
Yes it's on 5% of ground capacity in European games, however Aberdeen often give upto 4k in the league, so thought they may have seen the £ signs.ClaretTony wrote:We’ve done well to get that. Both clubs must have talked, as Aberdeen will only get 2300 here.
Maybe just maybe if selected for TV, Aberdeen don't shift many then we could get more, or possibly not too many will be left unhappy with missing out.

We don't "often" give 4000 to away fans in the league.MACCA wrote:Yes it's on 5% of ground capacity in European games, however Aberdeen often give upto 4k in the league, so thought they may have seen the £ signs.

Only the two cheeks of the same arse have ever got that and even that doesn't happen any longer.
We will sell out of our allocation without breaking sweat.
Personally I'd have been happy for both clubs to get 4000 at the away games.
I sense that general interest in the tie with Burnley supporters is about the away trip.
Will you sell out your home game or could I possibly put on my best Lancashire accent and sneak in the home end

- it is the ticket price subsidising that contributed to that lot down the road being in the mess they are in - this is their first price rise in years even though they have been losing money like nobody's business since the chicken farmers took over

£25 at home, can't see us shifting many at that price, if Aberdeen want extra then there will be loads of em in the home ends.

The number of home cup games next season could be anywhere between 1 and 19, by my reckoning. It's quite a budget challenge to decide how much to charge for season tickets on that basis.Steve1956 wrote:Season ticket holders should get into these games for free,a reward for our support.

They filled the ground against Limassol last year, so you needn't be surprised if they can do it again. And Scottish £ signs are just as pretty as English £ signs.MACCA wrote:Yes it's on 5% of ground capacity in European games, however Aberdeen often give upto 4k in the league, so thought they may have seen the £ signs.

Re: Kick off times and prices confirmed for Aberdeen games
Both grounds will be full for both games.
Should be a fantastic occasion.
I'm sure we both could've taken 5k plus to both games, unfortunately, it's not possible.
I'm usually okay for tickets as I take my Grandad in a wheelchair, demand is usually low. However, Aberdeen only have 7 spaces, so it's going to be incredibly difficult to get 1 of 7.

There'll be plenty of places you can get a drink till the early hours on a Thursday night mate. Pretty sure two of the nightclubs stay open till 8am if you're that keen!Top Don wrote:Similarly our support is going to be disappointed with our allocation for Turf Moor. £30 behind the goal and in the wings of the Long Side (Hargreaves) stand, £40 elsewhere.Top Don wrote:Out of curiosity, what is usual ticket price for your home games

Think 20 quid would be more appropriate. With our current financial position do we really need to still be trying to squeeze every last pound out of the supporters?

You think that our 1st European competitive game in 51 years won't be a huge draw for our fans? I would expect us to be close to a sell out.claretandy wrote:£25 at home, can't see us shifting many at that price, if Aberdeen want extra then there will be loads of em in the home ends.
Our usual early round exits from Carabao and FA Cups mean we have forgotten what 'cup fever' is.
Re: Kick off times and prices confirmed for Aberdeen games
Top don, I live in Aberdeen and have no chance of getting a ticket in the away end. Ive just tapped one of my mates and should get a ticket in the main stand.

Re: Kick off times and prices confirmed for Aberdeen games
Sounds like both sets of fans should be on good form - our travelling lot will just be out to enjoy it and by the sounds of it we’ll get a great welcome - 90 minutes excluded of course but even then I can imagine some banter ( do we know any chants in Scottish!)

I have never failed to obtain a ticket when I've been travelling.
Genuinely have my doubts this time.
Won't have sufficient loyalty points as live almost 200 miles away from Pittodrie and only get up to a handful of games a season but go to a lot of away ones. Will be genuinely gutted to miss it, but hey ho thats the way the cookie crumbles I guess.

What does “supporters travel packages” mean at the end of the supporters information bit on BFC website? Are they putting a plane on for us like a few years ago to Norwich?

Re: Kick off times and prices confirmed for Aberdeen games
Not sure that the price will be a major issue, but as you point out in your second post it's the peak time for holidays, so, (like you), I'm afraid that I don't expect anywhere near a sell-out.claretandy wrote:£25 at home, can't see us shifting many at that price, if Aberdeen want extra then there will be loads of em in the home ends.
Not sure how representative my sample of friends and relatives is, but none that I have spoken to can go to either leg, and I suspect that many will be in the same position.
(Schools finish for summer on July 20th and a lot of people go away for a fortnight or more).

Re: Kick off times and prices confirmed for Aberdeen games
I would think there would have to be agreement between the two clubs so maybe Aberdeen’s financial position will have been taken into account. It’s notable that the prices are similar for the two legs.jrgbfc wrote:Think 20 quid would be more appropriate. Re: Kick off times and prices confirmed for Aberdeen games
If the club were struggling to sell out week in, week out in the PL then they might begin to look at more attractive pricing policies. However, the reality is that the £124 million we received last season still doesn't allow to compete on a level with teams like Everton, West Spam, Leicester etc when it comes to bidding for, or trying to pay wages to, the better players we need to attract to maintain our PL status and continue to challenge for European places.jrgbfc wrote:Think 20 quid would be more appropriate. Re: Kick off times and prices confirmed for Aberdeen games
Hoping (like many no doubt) that I manage to get a ticket for the away leg as I’m on holiday for the home one and (if we get through) the third qualifying round. I will be absolutely gutted, having watched us rise from the Fourth division to now, if I don’t get the chance to watch us play in a European game.

Pittodrie will sell out for the first leg but I imagine the tie will be over as a contest come the second leg and interest will wane with Burnley support looking at their trip into europe.
