Just shows like any league or competition, your place is earned not deserved.
They disgraced themselves with their performances, which is a shame because a Germany team on form are very good to watch.

I thought most people wanted them to lose because they're annoyingly efficient at winning the comp.
Don't most on here think being a right wing cock is a good thing? Maybe it's only if you're a Brit.

I thought most people wanted them to lose because they want to dominate every other country [in sport, politics, economics etc etc] uber alles and so on.

Re: Germany out as the rest of Europe celebrates
It was funny watching them go out, but they were awful for three games.
The teams that went through their group both look a lot more dangerous than this tired and demotivated German team did.

And you just know that come the next World cup they will be a very good side after a bit of re-building.Lancasterclaret wrote:It was funny watching them go out, but they were awful for three games.

Re: Germany out as the rest of Europe celebrates
Well, the difference between them and us is that they recognise when players are past it. We don't (mainly because their friends in the media back them long past their sell by dates)
It took two absolute failures in a row though for England to realise that and to rebuild.
Doesn't mean we are going to win anything anytime soon, but as least we are trying to win it without one hand tied behind our backs.

Re: Germany out as the rest of Europe celebrates
Isn’t hindsight a wonderful thing.
Bigged up as one of the favourites pre-tournament but go through the squad and it was so unbalanced.
Neuer. Has barely played all season and although they have other class keepers they stuck with him all the way.
Hummels. Looked so slow defensively and then contrived to miss some sitters that might have seen them qualify.
Ozil. Awful.
Muller. That poor they dropped him for the SK game. Then on comms they tell us “he’s not been playing well for 18 months”.
Widemen. Nobody on a par with Sane, leaving him at home was inSane.
Striker. Werner, every game and he has knocked 10s of millions off his value. The only back up being Gomez who has always been a bench player.
They have lost too many class players this time and some still playing are on their last legs.
The younger players just didn’t look ready.
Let’s hope they go into 10 years of searching for the next batch. All other countries have cycles, Germany have so far avoided that. It’s their turn now.
