Re: ARTICLE: Aberdeen away game to be shown at Turf Moor
From memory, the last game screened like this was the 1st leg at Torquay in the 1990-91 Play Off Semi Final, or was our game at Scunthorpe also screened at the end of Ian Wright's season ??

Fair play to the club for doing this. Bit miffed at Aberdeen (if its their fault) as being a single parent of a small child heading down to the fanzone isn't really an option
Fingers crossed for a dodgy stream!

Well done to the club in sorting this out, with the heat and school holidays there will either be 300 there are 10,000
I'd like to come down but with a young daughter and elderly dad I am doubting there are going to be seats.
What are the chances that I will be able to find a decent stream as an alternative and watch at home?

There will be seats inside the tent if early enough or just take your own camping chairs.Burnleyareback2 wrote:Well done to the club in sorting this out, with the heat and school holidays there will either be 300 there are 10,000

Don't talk to me about RED TV or kodi repo's. I'll get them it before you, bud. Getting links to post on forums is easy peasy. It's the lads that put in the groundwork to STREAM it that are the real studs. Dont proclaim yourself a hero for a cut n paste off another forum just because these guys ain't tech minded. You ain't reinventing the wheel mate. You're regurgitating widely available links. You're just the messenger boy, mate.

Re: ARTICLE: Aberdeen away game to be shown at Turf Moor
Just heard they won't be streaming the game on Clarets Player, which is very good news as they won't mess it up.
Re: ARTICLE: Aberdeen away game to be shown at Turf Moor
It takes two teams to agree to the game being televised and the payment required to enable it to be done.
Given that the game is being shown at Turf Moor, I'm confused as to why it is assumed as being Aberdeen's fault it isn't on a TV station.
AFC must have given consent for this to happen unless I'm seriously missing something.

Re: ARTICLE: Aberdeen away game to be shown at Turf Moor
I thought in the qualifying rounds it was upto the host club to sell their own TV rights and a cut went to UEFA & the away side.Top Don wrote:It takes two teams to agree to the game being televised and the payment required to enable it to be done.

In the Europa League proper, TV agreements are pre-sold and negotiated by UEFA.

I thought it was just the home teams permission needed as they miss out on the gate money?Top Don wrote:It takes two teams to agree to the game being televised and the payment required to enable it to be done.

We're new to this Europa league so is there any information out there that details all these things?

Re: ARTICLE: Aberdeen away game to be shown at Turf Moor
If it is being shown at Turf Moor not sure why they cannot put it on Clarets Player as well not everyone loves near Burnley.
Re: ARTICLE: Aberdeen away game to be shown at Turf Moor
You may well be right with your first sentence. Perhaps Millertime as the main BT man in Scotland might be able to confirm.Dom wrote:I thought in the qualifying rounds it was upto the host club to sell their own TV rights and a cut went to UEFA & the away side.

It's not like AFC to miss out on any potential revenue opportunity.
The potential suitors have of course been reduced with Premier Sports pandering to the inbred follwers of Scotland's newest top league club and plumping to show Sevco's match in Croatia

That's a shame, Tim, just a word of warning though .... there's a match on so try and avoid the area around Pittodrie if you don't want to get caught up in the traffic !! You're welcome !tim_noone wrote:Typical I'll be in Aberdeen that day!!

How many stewards do you think the club will employ as it's got to be cost effective? All the bar staff wages to be paid as well.

Re: ARTICLE: Aberdeen away game to be shown at Turf Moor
I think there will be a substantial attendance at this event. There is a lot of interest to watch the match, (nowhere else appears to be showing it) Its the school holidays, the weather is supposed to be bang on on Thursday and its free!!!!
Burnley haven't played competitively for nearly 3 months and it is a return to Europe.
It will be busy

Hope you're right but there's some people who attend away games that like to chuck £4.50 pints of lager about in the concourse before the game so wasting £3 a pint to p1ss their own fans wet through probably seems like a bargain!JohnMac wrote:The good news for those attending is they won't be showered in cheap lager if we score
