Hi Ontario. Hope you’re well. I’m at A & E at the moment in Leeds. Just a quick word of warning….

The Dyson Ball Cleaner is not what you think it is !!!

No

I have the absolute v6.

Dyson is a real innovator but the other vacuum companies produce very similar products for a lot less money.

He's a prick of the highest order. Bangs on about Brexit but gets all his gear made abroad. Traitor.

Bagged vacuums are actually the best performers of any vacuum.

He's got the 'plummiest' accent that I've ever heard. Obviously not to be trusted. And thanks, jd. I just had my balls cleaned by my wife. Ready to play a full 18 holes now.

And are those right-handed or left-handed vacuums?

I have a cordless Dyson. Saves oceans of time.
All vacuums work, in my experience. The Dyson is very light.
Also more expensive than it should be.

Bought several Dysons and noted they all packed up just beyond the warranty period. Now got a Sebo built like a steam roller with a bag. Different league. As piston broke points out moved all his manufacturing off shore. Just can't quite trust him.

These guys all take advantage of subsidies in order to establish the company, and then move offshore. They end up paying more for marketing than they do for labour.

That depends on your criteria.

Most environmentally friendly? No.

Biggest improvement in air quality? Yes.

Most economical to run? No.

Cleanest to empty? Yes

So they perform their function as a vacuum cleaner better than any other vacuum cleaner, as I said.

Well, no because the best bagless vacuums will pick up dust just as well, if not better, as a bagged vacuum so it comes down to the other factors. The improvement in air quality is due to the dust retention advantages of a bag.

Their function as a vacuum cleaner depends entirely upon the amount of suction they generate and you can't judge that based on bagged or bagless. A cheap bagged cleaner will be nowhere near a Dyson or other high end baggless, a high end bagged cleaner will be.

The original dysons' seemed to be better, , nowadays they made of cheaper , feebler plastic, yet ridiculously expensive .
which seem to get poor reviews - on the whole

Funny thing about Dyson's is that the ladies seem to think they are great and most of the blokes I know think they are crap. Admittedly ours is a few years old now but I have found the plastic parts break too easily, service parts cost too much to replace and the bloody thing is so unbalanced it can fall over on its own like a drunk on a Saturday night. We also have a Hoover and I much prefer using that. The one thing about Dyson though is that the "electrical goods" containers at the local tips are full of the things so you rarely have problems sourcing a spare part if you can find a freindly tip person who will let you have a rummage.

Cobble has it right - a Sebo will outperform a Dyson in every way except its weight (they're heavier because they have two motors - one for suction and one for driving the beaters) - oh! and they don't come in 'funky' colours that increase the price by about 70%!!

I used to own a large commercial cleaning company and Sebo vacs as already mentioned are by far the best.
