Windsor 17:30

Post by Fretters » Mon Aug 13, 2018 12:18 pm

Flowing Clarets is the second favourite and Skybet are paying 4 places - got to be worth a punt.

lesson is to never take tips from posters on this board. 2 absolute losers used to post their tips on here not long back and they soon faded out when it became apparent they were fakes. not heard from them since. losers

Some of us still hear from one of those tipsters on a daily basis and do very nicely out of it. Winner, I think you should call him, certainly not a loser!!

There is a decent, free and honest tipster on twitter: https://twitter.com/Betracingnation" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; . He is a racing pundit, but he admits you have to be in it for the long haul and stick to pretty much singles and the odd doubles on the low prices.Think he is up a decent amount over the time, but just keeping an eye on him shows how erratic that game really is.

The Punters Lounge is another decent free app but again their stats are based on every single race every day over the previous 2 years.

A 50/1 winner goes a long way when disguising 48 losing bets.

A racing tip is a double edged sword. You think it has more chance of winning because someone tipped it so it hurts more when it loses.

The only tip where you might beat a bookie is off a stable lad on a first time out horse. 66/1 e.w finishing 3rd or something.

The bookie wins because it's just mathematics to them, so whoever wins they win, and 2nd is they have more money to pay people to be a judge of a horse's chances than us who expect a nice guy to hand us information for free and no benefit to them.

If you like betting do it for the fun with what you can afford to lose and pick your own horses.

THIS THIS THIS

If I’m gonna lose a fiver on a horse Id rather be it my choice than some strangers on the internets. Its that simple to me.

I have no problem following someone else's choice/tip as long as I believe they would be a better judge of choosing the horse than I would. They likely know more about the horse's history, the kind of ground it likes, jockey info, track info etc etc.

Don’t get me wrong I see why people follow tips and I used to.

It’s just my choice now

Giacomo Casanova Thirsk 5.50

First time in a nursery handicap for Kevin Ryan and the winner of two of his three races have won again.

Good price too, 12/1
