If Wood starts, we play him up front on his own with an inexperienced no 10 such as Hendrick
Then today, the plan is to go two up front, but those starters are Vokes and Barnes
Both have been great servants in the past but both are now looking pretty much out of their depth at this level. Sam gives his all but has no pace whatsoever and Ash just keeps being Ash and falling over at any opportunity
Wood cost around 13mill and Vydra 11m yet both are on the bench
What a waste

It’s not just choice of players it’s the shape of the team. Where are the attackers when the ball goes in the area? Dyche has got a lot of things wrong since last season ended.

Playing two up front means there should be at least two up there when the ball gets into our attacking 3rd - its just that the two today were pretty awful in terms of pace, holdup play and general skill levelsGranny WeatherWax wrote:It’s not just choice of players it’s the shape of the team. Wood and Vydra have to be given a chance to play together if that is the system SD choses
However, I thought today, away to a side playing with a lot of pace down both flanks, was not the time to go with the system
