Whammers Bubblers versus MIGHTY CLARETS

Post by IanMcL » Sat Nov 03, 2018 1:44 pm

Come on Burnley. Time to step up again and show us all we still have it.

Madge is raring to go.

Let's turn them over again.

Afternoon from La Vinuela in Espana..........off to a bar shortly to watch egg chasing and hopefully the Clarets on a dodgy stream.........

Time for Lord Dyche to get us back on track!

The right opposition for him to be starting IMO.

Some match facts:
Burnley have conceded 21 goals in their 10 Premier League matches this season - it took them 24 games to concede the same amount last term.

The Clarets have let in six goals from outside the penalty area this season, more than any other top-flight side. Four of the last seven they have conceded were struck from long range.

They have gone 53 games without being given a Premier League penalty. They were last awarded a spot-kick in a 3-1 defeat at Everton on 15 April 2017.

Joe Hart has made 44 saves in this season's Premier League - a joint-high with West Ham's Lukasz Fabianski

Let's hope they are still tied after this one!

Hart - no saves to make.
Fabianski never got near any of the Burnley shots on target!

So Mild in Derry naff in Dublin and windy in the west .
Hey don't get me going with swallows Derry i have a fight with them every year as they love to nest in the eves of my house . As for changing of the seasons we get around a billion midgies ( no i didn't count them ) at the middle of September every year for about 4 days and they are gone again , now two weeks ago they turned up again kind of late but they made it .

Not surprised to see Brady benched, he didn't look match sharp last week and needs bringing back gently good to see him come on late on. That be g the cadeLennon was a no brainer.
I feel for Hendrick, but suspect Weztwoods defensive qualities swung it.
Vydra back, glad we are being positive with 2 up the top, all we have to do is supply them.
Did I say all

Bold team and no-one can argue it isn't an adventurous selection.

I worry a little about the lack of legs and presence in the centre of midfield with Westwood getting the nod over the unfortunate Hendrick, but it's a tidy football team.

Would have preferred a fit Cork (or Hendrick)in there instead of Lennon, especially away from home. Yes, Cork's not been that great this season, but we would look a little less open and more combative in the middle of the park. We'll see.

I know what you're saying, but our wingers don't really take men on and get to the by line and last time Lennon did that he was at primary school I believe. I just feel we look a bit light in the middle of the pitch there and Vydra might end up playing more as a midfielder which will nullify his attacking threat, bearing in mind we're the away team and he becomes another square peg....etc. etc. I know cork is hurt, but I'd have picked Hendrick above Lennon and we might be more combative.
