Sean Dyche...the we want him to stay thread!
Probably the best manager we have ever had and one that has taken us to heights we never dreamed of.
Times are tough and I’m sure he’s hugely frustrated at our current position. His mind will be focused on the December games and approaching transfer window. Fingers crossed some impressive signings will follow and another Premier League season secured.
I think it’s time for the fans to back Sean. Please show your support here.

Re: Sean Dyche...the we want him to stay thread!
Things are tough at the moment, but he still has my support.
I honestly can't think of a better option to replace him, and going off most of the names put forward on another thread (serious or not), then neither can anyone else.
UTC!

I have tried to refrain from posting on the other threads as I do not see what the hell could be gained from getting rid of singularly the best manager we have seen in 2 generations.

I just hope Sean doesn't read this messageboard.
BTW our team were slated on this messageboard for their poor performance versus Newcastle. I thought it was pretty even and we had some good spells. I live in the North East and the Magpies here thought we were the better team and they consider themselves lucky to have taken all 3 points.
Mr Dyche you have my full support.

I jokingly shout Dyche Out most games but can’t see any real benefit to him actually going - can’t think of any replacement who would fit our club/squad/town any better.

The team needs our full support because it’s going to be a long hard fight as usual- it appears last season has raised peoples expectations too much. Toxic atmospheres are no use to anyone. Well apart from to Big Fat Sam.

Re: Sean Dyche...the we want him to stay thread!
without ANY shadow of doubt, Sean Dyche should remain here as manager, it really should be obvious he's the only man for this job.
Even if we go down, so what ? He'll bring us back up.

Re: Sean Dyche...the we want him to stay thread!
I’m not sure I agree that expectations have risen, certainly not in terms of expecting much more than a season focussing in survival (and perhaps more of a run in the Europa). Perhaps we did expect more than we have seen so far, which I wouldn’t say was unrealistic.Winstonswhite wrote:The team needs our full support because it’s going to be a long hard fight as usual- it appears last season has raised peoples expectations too much. Where I do think expectations were raised was in terms of recruitment. I for one thought that our great achievement of finishing seventh and reaching the European places, would see us with a far better opportunity to attract a better player or two.
It’s been done to death but the summer recruitment was a huge disappointment considering the above, the fact that the squad needed a refresh and that we knew we would have European games to play.
We are where we are though, hopefully lessons have been learned (again) and January will see some incomings, although it will be harder to attract players if it looks like we might go down.
Dyche has more than earned our support and is more than capable of taking us back up, if the worst does happen. We have been slowly building and improving on and off the pitch for the last five years, Dyche has been the driving force of that and it’s only right that we back him after what he’s achieved, during what is blatantly a difficult period.

No-one is beyond criticism LB as we all know very well.Lord Beamish wrote:He’s not beyond criticism, but he’s earned more credit than some are giving him.
In the past 30 years (not thinking of the Orient game either) we have come a very long way, overseen by several boards of directors who have contributed in their own way. Several (well quite a few) managers who have contributed (and one or two who haven't as well).
Last season was fantastic to finish 7th but a poison chalice in reallity... I feel we are just a couple of results from getting our mojo back. Sean Mark Dyche is the man to do that.
All I can say to the naysayers ... "BE VERY CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR" because you are the ones who would be the 1st to shout if it goes wrong.

I would love SD to stay for years to come, he has been [ and still is] the best thing that has happened to this club in decades, how people can want shut of him just because we are going through a bad run is beyond belief, we forget just what Burnley are and how far we have come in the 6 years that this amazing man has been at the helm, he has been loyal and honest since he came here, and i for one want to see him stay even if we are relegated this time, because im confident that we would be straight back up again. He has my full support like you guys who have replied on this thread. Thanks for the posting lovecurrypies.

Re: Sean Dyche...the we want him to stay thread!
He obviously should stay but much of the frustration has built up from a very poor transfer window and unrealistic expectations for this season based on a 7th placed finish when the stars aligned very kindly for us. Quite a fair number of posters had reservations that last season could be replicated and that a season of struggle at the other end of the table was more likely. The standard of football served up has not been attractive. Whether SD can bring in players of the required quality in January and steer us away from the foot of the table remains to be seen.

Re: Sean Dyche...the we want him to stay thread!
I couldn’t subscribe to the Out Brigade he has worked miracles for us and deserves the chance to turn this around. After the very poor transfer window and Europa excursions this Season, definately the early part anyway, was always going to be a struggle. It was crazy to expect otherwise I think we will be fine but we are going to continue to struggle for a while yet I fear. I think the board understands that the transfer window has undermined us who’s fault that was we will probably never know i would suggest Jan will be some signings which will hopefully improve us but I would think the big moves will come in the Summer.
