No. Not aimed at our players. Some at the ref though. All fans at the end applauded and some even chanted dyches name.
To be fair to the fans today, even at 3 nil the majority were very good.

Re: Was there quite a lot of booing at the end of the game,?
Yes there was, on the Longside upper and most of it was directed at Dyche.
I know this because of the comments directed at him after 2 minutes until the game ended.
I didn't get involved personally but believe me, all is not well.
When I looked there was hardly anyone left in the CFS seconds after the game to clap or boo anyone.

Everyone has a tipping point and when we scored today most of those around me couldn't be bothered to celebrate.
I couldn't argue with anyone choosing to leave today, regardless of when.

Re: Was there quite a lot of booing at the end of the game,?
Worse than booing is the indifference there appeared to be at the final whistle. A lot of people had,of course, given up long before Oliver took centre stage allowing a kick off after their 5th goal. The game was effectively over before the quarter hour mark and for myself it was a tedious, uninspiring afternoon to endure. Seen so many of those performances over a lot of years and I have to say that they tend to mark the beginning of the end for whoever is in charge. Can't see any coming back from this as far as I'm concerned.

Probably no booing because the ground had already evacuated on the 80th minute mark, aside from half of the cricket field.
The worst part of today was seeing some of our own fans sarcastically celebrating Everton's fourth. What on earth has happened at our club.

A little bit where I was, but mostly clapping. I just don't understand how anyone could applaud that. People obviously have sadistic tendencies.

I actually applauded them off. I don't really know if it was just out of sympathy.

Re: Was there quite a lot of booing at the end of the game,?
There was a limited amount of booing at the end directed at Dyche but as people have said above the ground was less than a third full by then. I personally shouted 'Rubbish Dyche' from not far behind him in the Bob Lord at the third sub. Not something I make a habit of but i lost my rag with his substitutions which were in my view all wrong and far too late. Not sure where we go from here. He looked very downcast on the BBC interview. Not seen him like that before. Made me regret shouting somewhat. Easy to forget the players and managers are human too. Something needs to change though. Sick of going at the moment, not enjoyable and has not been for some time. Would like to see us at least attempt to play football if we are going to lose anyway.

You pay good money. You are perfectly entitled to air your opinions. As I've said somewhere else it was the indifference around me that was most noticeable. I suspect that hurts more than any verbal volley. Supporters are now divided and personally I can only see the situation becoming more strained.
Re: Was there quite a lot of booing at the end of the game,?
Absolutely nothing wrong with shouting your disagreement of his subs because you're right, they were all wrong.Flat Stanley wrote:There was a limited amount of booing at the end directed at Dyche but as people have said above the ground was less than a third full by then. Your last two sentences sum it up perfectly. I don't want to go at the weekend. I'm expecting another abject, long ball performance and another heavy defeat. I think even Dyche has forgotten we actually played football this time last year. Our style was mixed. Yes we were direct at times but we also played some lovely passing football. Today was non league hit and hope. Since when was that a genuine game plan? No width, no attempt to play, just pumping long balls up the pitch in the hope something bounces our way.

Not much booing around me, but the ground was pretty empty come the final whistle. Most folk around me didn't even stand up when we scored nevermind celebrate.

I love it when our amazing, top knowledgeable fans say "the substitutions were wrong", "we should play more football", "the formation is wrong" but don't come up with any feasible alternatives?!

There was applause round me (and from me) for Everton's 4th. I assure you it wasn't sarcastic. It was genuine applause for an excellent hit. Whether we were 4 up or 4 down and regardless of who hit it and for what opposition, I would always applaud a goal of that quality.ksrclaret wrote:The worst part of today was seeing some of our own fans sarcastically celebrating Everton's fourth. nothing, but the fans are changing, wandering off way too early because we were getting beat. Jumping eagerly on the Dyche out bandwagon.ksrclaret wrote:Probably no booing because the ground had already evacuated on the 80th minute mark, aside from half of the cricket field.

Re: Was there quite a lot of booing at the end of the game,?
How about not taking off our best defender and taking off Mee who was awful again, taking off Westwood instead of an attacking midfielder Hendrick when you are losing and not taking off Vokes when he is the only forward winning headers when you are constantly pumping long balls forward. Oh and not waiting until after 60 mins and when the game has long gone to change anything. He could have changed it when we went 3 down or again at half time but waited until 60 mins.Goodclaret wrote:I love it when our amazing, top knowledgeable fans say "the substitutions were wrong", "we should play more football", "the formation is wrong" but don't come up with any feasible alternatives?!
Could have started with 4 at the back and JBG In the side. Might let us play a bit more football.

Probably because none of us are being paid 75k a week to manager the team.
If someone is laid on the floor dying whist a doctor stands there doing nothing, a member of the public might not know what to do, but they know something needs to happen
Re: Was there quite a lot of booing at the end of the game,?
Hard to be creative when the creative players are missing. Brady, Defour Ward and JBG. The first three may be finished as the players we saw last season. Brady has had a really odd injury that may have affected his knee stability, Defour is more of a crock than when he first came. Ward is over the hill I imagine. All this highlights the failure to get anyone decent in this summer other than having 5 keepers. Only problem is Dyche wasn't told you could only play one keeper at a time otherwise with 3 of 5 keepers in the net yesterday we could have got a draw

Yes there was booing. But brief. I think it was a lot of frustration more than a concertrd booing. Vokes and Ash came over the the JM and we gave them a clap but iy all felt very half hearted.
