Bardsley
I hold my hand up - really been impressed with him recently.
I am a big Lowton fan and couldn't see what Bardsley did other than got booked and gave away possession. Taking all that back now.
Wood despite his misses was vital today with his hold up.
Taylor brilliant.
But the common settling panacea was Heaton.

Lowton should get nowhere the team after the way Bardsley played today. Great performance.

Re: Bardsley
I posted yesterday to say that the three guys that should start every game now were Heats, Bards and Barnes because they gave you 100%
Great to hear Bards played well-because him and Heaton are the only vocal guys . Like having an extra defender

Once covered himself in disgrace with those pound notes in the casino...
Now rapidly covering himself in glory - what a terrific mentality he has shown when the chips are down

Re: Bardsley
The tackle that lead to Wood being through on goal was immense. Shame Chris missed it as that tackle won't be highlighted the same.

Re: Bardsley
Not even joking, at what point I compared him to David Beckham in his England performance against Greece - that sounds ludicrous but I’m dead serious.
Nothing was getting by him, nothing.

Re: Bardsley
Man possessed - had recently played like it would kill him to have a relegation on his CV - fires up the crowd like no one else and can be very clever with the gamesmanship
Re: Bardsley
10/10 today
Re: Bardsley
We didn't play with any wingers so Sean probably thought to go with Lowton as he is the better at crossing the ball.warksclaret wrote:Why on earth was he dropped after Arsenal ??

Re: Bardsley
Bardsley looks really fit now....I dont think he was in those early days with us...I never rated Barnes until the last 3 seasons or so but we need Barnes and Bardsley in the team....I would imaging Bardsley will be quite vocal as well which can only be good.

Re: Bardsley
Bardsley was imperious today. Absolutely brilliant. It was noticeable how they attacked down our left towards the end because they were getting nothing on our right....absolutely brilliant
Re: Bardsley
Super performance. Need players that are fired up in our position. He is certainly fired up at the moment.

Because he did not start v Everton-that's what I meant. Forget the reasons why. He should have stayed

Re: Bardsley
He pretty much took Anderson out of the game in the first half. Absolutely oined him and he lost his cool, throwing his arms around in frustration. Never managed to come back from that, whilst Bardsley looked good going forward and at the back. Some very clever passes and crosses down that right flank.
MOM for me, even though Mcneil had a brilliant first half and got the goal.

Money he’s earned and his mates having a laugh have passed on private photos? Get a grip, hardly makes him a disgrace, and don’t play the role model card.Belgianclaret wrote:Once covered himself in disgrace with those pound notes in the casino...

Really annoys me those sort of comments

Re: Bardsley
Outstanding today, as he generally has been this season when given a chance. He totally dominated Anderson to the point where he didn’t even want the ball in our half. Bet he feels immensely satisfied tonight. If McNeill wasn’t our young starlet then he would have been a worthy winner of the MOM award.

Re: Bardsley
Defo mom. He set tone with his first tackle on Anderson and had him virtually all match. Great passing abd attacking also. I love his aggression. Ditto Barnes.

Re: Bardsley
We could do with a Bardsley / Barnes type in midfield. Think that may happen soon.

Re: Bardsley
Should never have been dropped for Everton. Defence looks much more up for it and committed when he's on the pitch and Lowts has been not quite at it all season so far.

Superb again today.
Plays for Burnley like a Burnley fan would play for Burnley.
As good a footballer as Lowton? No. Want him when we are in a fight? Oh yes.
Brilliant again today.
