Re: BOGLE
Yes...
Bardsley cannot go on forever, Lowton is dependable but we need to plan for the future.
Next question...

Re: BOGLE
Bardsleys contract is up at the end of the season I think. Maybe we're happy with Lowton as first choice and looking to get a younger lad in as a back up and to be the long term successor? Bit like Taylor with Ward.

Not aware of any interest from us or anyone else, but wouldn't be surprised.

Wonder if they'd be interested in taking Vydra back as part of the deal

Hope not. Not until we are definitely staying up. Anyone with a bit about them would want him in a promotion push next season if we were to drop.jrgbfc wrote:Wonder if they'd be interested in taking Vydra back as part of the deal

Re: BOGLE
Bardsley has to be worth 1 more year. Know nowt abaht Bogle.
Re: BOGLE
Wouldn't mind Bardsley getting another deal, but we need to start thinking a bit more longer term. Signing 30+ year olds to do short term jobs will catch up with us eventually, particularly if we were to go down.

Re: BOGLE
Get bogle in. Bardsley has maybe one more season in him. His current form has surprised me personally as I thought he looked way off the level previously. But he’s shown real passion, grit and determination which we needed desperately . Bogle is 18 years old. I’d loan him straight back to Derby to play the remainder of the season in the championship and gain experience as he has done already. Prospect

Re: BOGLE
If we do sign Bogle then I’d imagine that Ward is the one who will make way.
Bogle becomes the back up to Lowton (and his replacement in time!) and Bardsley can be given another 12 months to act as the “across the back four” sub and all round “senior pro” who’s good for the dressing room.

Re: BOGLE
I've previously said that with Bardsley's age, and Lowton's performances dropping this season we should be looking to strengthen the RB position.
This would be an excellent acquisition, similar to Keane & Taylor he would probably have to be patient and wait for his opportunity but when it comes can grab it with both hands.

Re: BOGLE
Bardsley was always a short term fix really although he's done well for us. Lowton is currently nothing like the player he was last season so a young right back coming through would be a plus for me.Sleeping Cat wrote:I've previously said that with Bardsley's age, and Lowton's performances dropping this season we should be looking to strengthen the RB position.

I think Bardsley and Ward will both move on this summer, so we'll be looking for a left back as well. Unless Ward has some kind of clause in his contract that we have to another him another year?

Sky Sports News understands Derby boss Frank Lampard would be willing to let the 18-year old Jayden Bogle leave in the current January transfer window if the right deal can be agreed. #dcfcfans #twitterclarets https://t.co/obq64e5HMU" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: ARTICLE: Lampard not surprised in our Bogle interest
Watched him tonight and he looks to have something about him and at a very young age. Working under Dyche would improve his defensive ability , whilst he looks to be half decent on the ball and pretty composed when on the ball. Building for the future this would be ideal. Wether or not we keep Bardsley on or not I’d be happy with this.
