Cork 7. Solid
Hendrick 7.Solid
McNeil 6. Some nice touches but in and out of the game

Wood 9*

Thought that was Wood's best game for us for ages. Led the line well, kept the offside count down, held it up really well and brought others into play, looked threatening and scored the winning goal.

From the telly...

Heaton 8
Bardsley 7
Tarkowski 7
Mee 8
Taylor 7 Hendrick 8
Westwood 8* MOM
Cork 7
McNeil 6 Minus 1 for a bad miss
Barnes 6 Minus 1 for a bad miss
Wood 7

Started shakily but grew into the game and unlucky not to come away with 3 points despite Tom's saves. The one from Deeney was an outstanding reaction.

Heaton 9 Kept us in the game early on
Bardsley 7 Wasted a fabulous ball from JH
Tarks 7
Mee 8 Won his battle with Deeney
Taylor 7 Solid against a pacy winger
Hendrick 7 playing well out of position
Westwood 9 Exceptional today
Cork 8 Not far behind Westy
McNeil 7 Some great touches but needs to be more involved
Barnes 6 100% as always but just lacking that final touch
Wood 8 Back to his best and was alert enough to score the winner, Sadly the Lino was not as alert as Wood was.

Good point. Deserved 3. Other results hurt a bit but defeats for CP and Cardiff

One of the best performances for many months.....I am over the moon having watched that today.

I'm refusing to give marks until I've calmed down....as I'm so pleased I'd be tempted with 10's all round

Good to see Wood getting some really good marks. I thought he was outstanding today but he was receiving dogs abuse from someone behind.

It was vital we saw out the early onslaught from the hosts. Once the game settled down we were the better team and cruelly robbed at the death. These last minute or so setbacks we've had over the last couple of seasons must surely even out some time.

Thought Watford looked a good team, and we were better!
We should have won in all honesty with all the chances - Barnes, McNeil, but I thought Heaton saved our bacon on a couple of occasions.
A thoroughly enjoyable game.

Heaton 8 kept us in it early on
Bardsley 7
Tarkowski 8 won most things , they didn't have a sniff 2nd half
Mee 8 as above, slow start but grew to be as good as tarky
Taylor 8 played very well
Hendrick 7 a bit wayward in the first half hour or so , should have done better with his chance, but again did ok out of position
Westwood 9 mom... AGAIN
Cork 7 did well
McNeil 7 a few bright moments but shocking miss
Barnes 6 at least 2, maybe 3 bad misses that cosy us in the end
Wood 8 excellent, ran the channels, held it up, caused issues. Should have got the winner but for poor officials. Pitty Barnes chances didn't fall to him

Great point in the end, but felt a bit flat and dissapoints with just the 1, but that probably says a lot about our performance

Agree Pommie, although I do think Wood was offside too much today, I also thought he had a very good game and performed much better than Barnes.

Wood agenda still at large with some? Weird. Would’ve been another winner from him today if not for an incorrect decision.

I reiterate that I believe he is our best striker.

Wood has scored 3 from 38 shots and been called offside 28 times this season. The most of any striker in the premier League.
He's clueless.

Heaton 8 - What a guy

Bardsley 7 - Enjoying his performances atm
Tarks 8 - Untroubled by big Deeney, very solid
Mee 8 - See above, back to his old self
Taylor 7 - Good again

Hendrick 7 - Some really good moments. Feel he lacks a bit of oomph occasionally
Westwood 8 - So tidy again
Cork 7 - Very honest, another who’s playing noticeably better. Occasional sloppiness in possession
McNeil 7 - Quieter from him. Should really have scored, but we have a player here

Barnes 7 - Love him, but he has to bury that one 1st half
Wood 7 - Played well but loses a mark for the number of times he’s inexplicably offside, it really is quite infuriating. Robbed by the lino in the last minute though

Lies and damn statistics.

I bet Hart has some of the most saves this season but we have a better win ratio with Tom in the team, for example...

Wood played well today and deserved the winner. He is definitely our best finisher. You only have to watch him warming up pre match to see that. He gets caught offside often but they are often fine margin ones and clearly one today was incorrect with possibly a good percentage of the others in the stats incorrect to boot

Wood does probably get caught offside more than he should and sometimes I think he does not get out quickly enough. However when we are on the attack and he gets caught many times the ball is not going in quick enough from our midfielders or full backs. Wood has already made the move to get away from his marker and if we decide to have another touch or pass as we often do then it’s very hard for Wood to remain offside

No coincidence he is playing a lot better with McNeil playing and at last the team getting crosses in and the likes of Westwood playing really well and getting balls into his feet or in the channels for him to run into.

If you get the ball to Wood’s feet he’s probably the best finisher. We don’t do it enough. As said above looks better with McNeil playing.

REALLY concerned in the first 10 minutes as we seemed to have reverted to this season`s type again...lethargic and without any seeming game plan but then something clicked and I thought we were excellent for the remainder of the half - didn`t play the better football but controlled it. The second half might have brought a home team surge but it didn`t materialise and I wished beyond the realm of wishes we had a manager who would be pro-active with his substitutes when it is SO clear that the 3 points are there for the taking. Watford were threatening nothing but Dyche would have sat on his hands until the final whistle or Watford had scored.

Still, happy to be disappointed with a point away from home.

Heaton 8

Bardsley 8 - a revelation and encompasses our revival
Tarkowski 7
Mee 7 - showing more consistent glimpses of the Ben we all love
Taylor 6 - meh today for me

Hendrick 6 - see Taylor
Cork 6 - ditto
Westwood 9 MOM - a wonderful midfield performance (throw winger in there too) - was instrumental in everything good we did going forward and supplied some sumptuous crosses in the 1st half.

O`Neil 7 - love how he can make space for himself and had a lovely 20 minutes in the 1st half but thought he was on the periphery in the 2nd half except for the glorious chance he blazed over

Barnes 6 - not at his bullying best but a lovely piece of skill in the 1st half countered unfortunately with 2 bad misses

Wood ...go on 7 - his goal was onside (no doubt MOTD had a sock cam which showed his left big toe was offside) and was far more `in tune` with the team.

subs ????????? would have loved to have seen Vydra on for the last 20 minutes - thought theyre were so many pockets of space he could have exploited. Unfortunately he has the wrong manager for his particular skill set. He will be filed under Henning & Vossen (for differing reasons of course) for strikers we will never know better of.

Personally I don't mind him walking a line like that - sooner or latr he will be on and it always gives defences more to worry about than smoeone playing safe

Its horrible isn't it. I sat near you away once when Eagles was playing and you seemed tp spend half the match telling everyone around you how bad he was. To be fair though pre Dyche slaging off the club, manager and players was acceptable

I didn’t go but looking at those marks gives the feeling that in general confidence has definitely returned since Tom and McNeil have arrived on the scene.

Heaton 9 MOM
Bardsley 7
Mee 8
Tarks 8
Taylor 7
Westwood 8
Cork 8
Hendrick 7
McNeil 7
Wood 8
Barnes 6

An excellent away performance where we pretty much dominated things for 80% of the game and were unlucky not to come away with all 3 points
