Their boys came charging down at us, we got stuck in and chased them off onto the pitch, then the Burnley fans came over the pitch. I also remember going to Workington away in a cup game of some sorts as well as going to Northampton away at their old ground when it only had three sides: but, for the visit of the 'bigger' clubs in those days they put up some steel work terraces down the 'empty' side, to get more on. These make-shift terraces were actually quite dangerous and I recall some people falling off he back of them, only about a five foot drop though.

Apart from that I was at Hartlepool, Maidstone, Nuneaton, Stafford, Barnet...great days, great memories.
I was one of the twenty. I was with the Waterloo crew. I got nicked, taken to the nick, but they let me off, and I went back on their end when they opened the gates to let their fans off with 20 minutes to go. Pretty sure Crusher got nicked as well but he got fined!

Maidstone was always a weird one because they actually played in Dartford! Went about 3 or 4 times and seemed to be a happy hunting ground for us I recall.
I once went to Barnet for a night match and we scored a last gasp equaliser (Heath?). The ground was awful, but a good day out.

My first away game around 62/63. A visit to Ewood Peark. 1s/3d to get in (less than our one and a tanner). One apiece draw and we were huddled in the Town End. I was struck by how smelly it was. Horrible place. The other end was The Darren End and to the left was Sewerside.

Stafford Rangers

Squashed in like sardines and the old bill trying to maintain order. One lonely copper in the middle of the crush. All of a sudden his helmet flies up into the sky....v funny at the time.

Exeter away. 1994. Last game of season before play offs. 4 1 defeat I think. Cracking weekend in Torquay. However remember being near Rocky and he inexplicably had a slash where he was standing on the terrace

Burnley (with Leighton James) score and everyone around me turn out to be Burnley fans!

Maidestone away in late '89, just before I went to work in Japan for three years. About 1,300 of us. John Deary got a late winner, and the place went wild.

Went to that Exeter match too and stayed over in Exeter. Got absolutely ratted later and was throwing up outside an Asian restaurant, before staggering back to the B&B. The 4-1 defeat/debacle didn't do us any harm as we were already in the play offs and it just spurred us on to go and win it and get promoted.
