Your favourite non Burnley player.
I'm struggling to make tomorrow's game and the most dissapointing thing for me is missing Wilfrid Zaha play....obviously I hope we do a job on him and press his Buttons.....part of the fun. But I really like him as a player and his histrionics also.

Lionel Messi. Him and Thierry Henry are the two players who, beyond the confines of the hallowed Turf, do it for me. Saw Messi and Neymar play together for Barcelona at Camp Nou and Messi scored a free kick from a ridiculous angle. Unbelievable Jeff!

I can't really appreciate other premier league players while we're in it.
Bergkamp and Zola were superb though.

Re: Your favourite non Burnley player.
Just considering current players in the English leagues. As someone who played hundreds of games at full back, I like to see good full backs & really appreciate watching Andrew Robertson of Liverpool. He's got excellent judgement in defence and very good at timing runs/getting crosses in going forwards. Still got a few years to get even better too.
For a non-defender, I like to watch Eriksen of Spurs. Good control either foot, nice pass either foot and always available to receive, drifts into clever positions + the odd goal (though I can think of one I wish he hadnt got late in a game when he was subbed on).

At the turf : best , hoddle and Devonshire . Couldn't wait to see zlatan at old Trafford , and it was even better when Heaton pulled off that save ! Still not seen messi , I'm waiting until we qualify for the champions league .

Obviously a contentious one, but as a child it was Malcolm Macdonald.
Semi-recently, and as much for off-field as on, Eric Cantona.

Re: Your favourite non Burnley player.
As a former keeper at school/sunday league teams, for me the games when David De Gea is being battered with shots and somehow pulls out saves, unbelievable.
Though for me, my absolute all time favourite player is Paul Scholes.

Rune vindheim shame he didn’t push on, mentioned as arfield & tripps already mentioned, so included a ex.
Re: Your favourite non Burnley player.
Yaya Toure. Beast.
Re: Your favourite non Burnley player.
Harry Kane. Just a no-nonsense quality footballer.
Re: Your favourite non Burnley player.
David Silva is/was something special.
I have a lot of respect for De Gea too, rarely makes a mistake these days, and has single handed won United many a point this season. When he's on form he's unbeatable.
The best in the world for me.

Re: Your favourite non Burnley player.
Never had much regard for non - Burnley players, But that Hazard is a bit good.
Re: Your favourite non Burnley player.
Keiran Trippier... Thanks for scoring that peach of an own goal for Chelsea, I've gained a bit of absolution because the only ever own goal I scored was exactly the same.
A fantastic player for us and always talks good about Burnley but £3 Million????????????????? No wonder Burnley only have £24 million in the bank, it should be £54 million.

Surprised Cesc Fabregas hasn't warranted a mention, makes the game look easy at times.
