Wouldn't mind a few quid on a speculative bet on Duff

Didn’t know Sean was off..?

I do not want to see Michael Duff anywhere near a Premier League team management role.

I saw the OP. He wasn’t suggesting that we replace Dyche with Duff right now, or that Dyche was about to leave imminently.

He was just speculating on a bet that, when SD did leave, he’d be replaced by MD.

A punt on Michael Duff...
or Paul Cook, Joey Barton, Graham Alexander, all a waste of money.

If and when we need to replace Sean Dyche I seriously hope we will be looking for an upgrade!

We have the best manager for Burnley FC. He will become a legend to rival Mr Potts.

No discussion necessary.

Deadly serious.
I'd like to think that when we part company with SD, for whatever reason, we will be an established PL club with ambition to challenge for an Europa League place if at all possible.
We'd need a lot better that ex players managing in the lower leagues to do that.

Really?

You mean an established Premier league club like Swansea, Stoke or West Brom, for example?

There really are serious levels of delusion amongst our fan base!

Name a better manager than Dyche when you take into account finances, wages, catchment area etc.?

Dyche has done fantastic but we've outgrown him now and if we can attract someone like a Silva or a Gracia we can be mid table, playing good football and giving the cup comps a real good go

What's Marco Silva done that makes him a good manager?

Really?

So when you've slagged off Dyche this season after some bad results you are just winding people up?

Ok then.

Spijed,

You really need to read posts properly and not apply your own agenda to them.

Understand the sentiment but I’d want some pretty big odds to back it.

Might be a month or five years until we need a new manager and we’ve no idea what Duffs record would be when the time comes.

The trouble with fans wanting more is that it never ends well. Both West Brom and Stoke got tired of Pulis, likewise the owners of Rovers ditched Big Sam.

Disaster in the end.

Dont get why you keep using Stoke as an example. They got relegated 5 years after Pulis left within which time probably most clubs in English football changed their manager.

Blaming a relegation on letting a manager go 5 years previous is stretching things even by your standards
